Maiden Voyage!!

I finally got tired of waiting on so many different things and just finished it this afternoon. I put the 19s on so I can align it later this week and took it for a spin. WOW! It needs some tuning in different spots and Kirk has my file, but 11s NO PROBLEM!! Go ahead and clear out the #3 position on the list. :devil: I cant test acceleration on the 19s. I tried 30-40-50-60 and it still smoked the tires from a roll in 2nd or 3rd gear. I will get the tuning done this week HOPEFULLY and put 200 miles on it and swap back to the ET Streets and runners and see how far in the 11s it will go.

I drove it on the street! :) Yes. I would tighten up the converter if the car was a everyday only car I have, but I have a 4 mile round trip commute, so its all good! :devil:

Yes. I am not a big fan of dyno #s with gears or converters as I have seen the #s be low, but the track results showed the gains. I do want to know though. :)

They should be able to lock the converter for you on the dyno. Just tell Kirk you want to.

Any prediction on actual best time for your first day? Hopefully they will let you slide for a couple passes before they complain about a cage.

I feel you there. Kirk is going to dyno mine before and after the stall install. It should be interesting to see the number difference it makes.

I am going for it on the 1st pass. I feel like 11.55-11.65. If it doesnt its traction or tune, although all that should be squared away before I get there. I will be happy with anything in the 50s, but if I feel there is more I will make a 2nd or 3rd pass.

I'm with you. I'm hoping for a .99 but if I get a 12.0 or .1 I won't be disapointed. What I won't do is run the car 7 or 8 times just to try to get that .99 in one day.... A few passes to see where I'm at and then take it from there.

I am the same way. If it 60fts in the low 1.60s, I kind of look at it like it is what it is, but if its spinning, then it is worth making an extra pass or two to fix the 60s and drop my ETs.

Not sure. Kirk sent me another file today and that got it closer to getting ready for fine tuning. It will be a Saturday night or Sunday very soon.
