Center Armrest Disassembly?

Anyone know how to take apart the rear part of the center armrest?
I want to add an auxillary socket for the rear passengers and I need to tap off the socket that is inside the armrest.

Any help is appreciated!

I have photos at home and will post them later. First you pop off the top part of the trim (above the vent) and then the bottom part of the trim. Then there are four screws and the whole back part comes off. I'll try to get the instructions from the HSV Smoker's Kit online. It's really quite easy.

I think there are more than four screws. More like 10. Six on top and four below the vents or something like that.

But yeah, it's not really hard.

You only need to remove 4 screws (cyan ones) to get the entire rear fascia off the console. Once off, you can remove the two lower screws (red ones) and take out the bottom cuby (to be replaced in the Smoker's Package install).

Who knew. I took them all out. I guess the others are just holding the vents in place.

Yes, the harness/plug is there (unused) in the stock G8. Very simple to install, and it's great to get an extra outlet for the rear passengers!

For those who have fitted the Calais Rado Silver (dark silver) front and rear smokers pack [Part of kit 31B] to a 2008 G8,
then I've identified the 3 parts you might also want in Rado Silver.
These 3 parts (10,17 & 18) are Rado Silver and can replace your stock black pieces.

I've only ever bought the complete front and rear smokers pack.
I've got one here right now and have just written down the part numbers off the rear part. As soon as things get working again after Easter I'll try to find out if just the rear bits can be bought.

The numbers off the Rear portion of the Smokers Pack are:

92200596 Ashtray.
92200594 Compartment.

They're not available from Holden in Aus.......except as part of the Calais Front and Rear Smokers Pack.
