Afternoon G8 exhaust testing session.

(To drone or not to drone...that is the question???) Or.... why does my stupid car have AFM/DOD ????

Answer: My two don't... courtesy of VMS and Kirk's anti DOD tune!!!!

Snowbird, Naptown99 and me. 2-08's and 2-09's. (Snowbird on right, Naptown99 on left and me in the middle.)

Our 4 cars will be at the G8 Meet and Greet at Gulf Coast Town Center Mall
in April. (I-75 Exit 126 SW FLA)

Rumor has it that congress is planning on "SUPER AFM!!!!" That's where your engine de-activates down to a "Johnny Popper". :woohoo:

The wheels are a staggered set of Breyton Race CS from TireRack. They stick out!!! Fronts are 8.5 x 19" with 30 offset and rears are 9.5 x 19" with 35 offset. Stock tires on front, 275's on rear. They occasionally "Zing" when turning hard and accelerating at same time. No marks on tires yet with around 500 mi. Using my own front tires, the total cost with fronts RF mount/bal and TPMS was $2,200. New front tires add $750.

HOWEVER, Snowbird on his White G8 (far one in pix) has similar offset staggered Breyton Race GTS. His new 285 x 19" Michelin Pilot Sport PS -2's on rear are rubbing lots. Based on TireRacks website, the 285 Michelin's are 11.4" cross section width, versus my 275 )50A's at 10.9" About 1/2" wider. As for offset - 10mm (35 vs 45) is about 3/8".

I like all of the rim choices, but Im still a big fan of the stock 19's for some reason. Nice shots of the G8's, I have only seen one other in my area so Im thinking a group shot is out of the question for me at the moment...
