Here is a pic of the Breytons installed with a stock 245 size on the front and a 285/30/19 on the rear in case anyone is interested in the fitment.

I'll try to get a better, cleaner picture with a close up tomorrow before we pull them back off

Those look pretty good. How's the fitment in the back?

Everyone else likes them, but I do not. As with everything, I am extremely hard to please on wheels. Looks like I'll have to have a set custom made for this car if I want the tire to sit in the wheel well to my liking.

I TOTALLY feel your pain. I'm the same way. I wish there was a better selection of wheels for our cars. A set of 19" x 10" rims with an offset of around 58mm would be perfect.

I've found 19x10.5s that I like. They are 50mm offset, maybe I can have 3mm shaved to get them to 53mm. I might buy them just to see how they fit.

What are the sizes on the wheels?? I had rubbing with those on the rear, 19x9.5" with +35mm offset. I was running a 255/40/19 tire.

285/30/19 on the rear. with mine being lowered, and planning on installing larger wheels, I had my fenders professionally rolled a while back. With a full tank of fuel, 2 passengers, and me driving it scrubs slightly. But granted, I'm not small (6'4 315lbs) and most of my passengers are pretty close to me. When it scrubs it "brushes" the corner but no cutting into the tire or anything. If someone is planning on getting wheels but not lowering their ride, these will be perfect, or if the driver isn't heavy as hell with heavy passengers, you'll be fine.

we had a set of maas wheels that were 10.5 wide but it only had 48mm. It was close to scrubbing the inside so I'd like to see a 58 and where it comes close

Hmmm, maybe the 50mm offset I'm looking at will be "just right".

Are they the 5 spokes that I posted a while back?

Maybe we need to mini tube these things. Then we could get what ever wheels we wanted.

That tire would have been over 27" tall. Rubbing was inevitable, probably looked good though. you can see in these pics the clearance

I've thought about mini-tubbing, the only problem is the inner edge of the wheel-well is directly above the rear sub-frame frame rail. You'd have to do more than just sheet metal work.

I wonder if you could safely notch it?

I like them but I wonder how they would look on a silver car?

I'm on the fence on these wheels. I can't make a chop that I like. I need to spend some time with them and see if I can make them more realistic.

These are the same wheels I have, only with 275 050A's on back. With 4 people and hard turns they definitely "Zing" once in a while.

Met "Snowbird" & his White 09' G8 today. He has a Set of Breyton Race GTS staggered 19's with Michelin Pilot PS-2's. Rears are 285 -35-19. He has cuts on tires from rubbing after a few hundred miles. Has spare in trunkwell which lowers rear, that I don't currently have. Think TireRack may have missed the mark on these wheels with 35 offset for rear, without fender rolling. Checked specs on Michelin - section width is 11.4", which is about in between Bridgestone 050A's in 275 & 285 width. However, Michelin does not give a tread width. Looking at the tire, it appears to have a straighter side at tread vs. Bridgestone, though that may be due to size. My Beyern's on other G8 definitely fit better with 45 offset, even though they are also 285's. Still, occasionally get a "Zing" with these wheels if I have 4 passengers.

Think we need some 50-55 rear offsets for 9.5 or 10" wheels..... That are REASONABLY PRICED under $400. ea.!

Or... Nascar Spring Rubbers~!

These are the wheels I want. They look real similar to the stock 19's. There's just no way in hell I'm paying $7000-$8000 for a set of wheels.

I'd get the brushed/clearcoat finish.

I drove to the beach on mine the day after I got them. Even with crappy beach roads and ridges all on the highway (any one who goes to Myrtle Beach, SC knows what I'm talkin about), I did not scrub much. There was the occasional "shhk" sound. After 500 miles of driving, I have no cuts or scratches on the tire. The most it did was put a little paint on the corner from where I repainted the rolled area. With a 275 tire on it, .196" narrower on each corner, the scrubbing should diminish quite noticeably
