ICON Autosports G8 Dyno Day! (HOUSTON)

We have been looking into having a G8 only dyno day. Post up if you are intersted. We would need at least 10 cars to make this happen. I'm sure we can get more, so post up so we can get an idea of how many cars will show. Right now we are looking to have it some time in mid to late April, maybe the 18th or the 25th?


We are going to have the dyno day on April the 19th.

We will start at 10:00am and shut it down by 6:00pm. We can stay later if needed.

Price for pulls will be 2 pulls for $40.00 and 3 pulls for $50.00.

Price includes
: food and drinks.
: vehicle hook-up and disconnection
: printed dyno graphs


Tuning your car can be scheduled for a later date if interested.

We will have drinks, burgers and hot dogs.

No need to register until you show up at the shop for the Dyno Day. Just post up so we can get a round about head count to see how much food we need to cook up.

No wide band will be used. Unless we tune the car. You can set up an appointment for a dyno tune for a later date when you show up, if you wish.

Our tuning software cable is getting updated so we can tune the 09-2010 GM vehicles. So this week end looks like we can only tune the 08 model G8's.

The weather is going to be great tomorrow. There should be enough time to clean up the rides in the morning before coming out to the dyno day. Clean those rides up and we look forward to seeing everyone at 10:00 AM tomorrow. We also did some tuning on our G8 shop car this past week. We were able to go from 293 rwhp stock to 377 rwhp and 390 rwtq. I will post up the graph and video soon.
Mods that were done were:
* Kooks 1 7/8 headers
* Kooks off road X-pipe
* magnaflow axle backs
* AFE cold air kit
* ICON Autosports Custom Wide band tune

We will be running a sale also on all parts that we tested on our G8 shop car. So come on by tomorrow and check it out.

You don't have far to drive, so no excuses, Radar is clear over there, it's barely misting here so the roads are still wet, so there would be no point in cleaning my car up, but oh well.

Yes, Its a Livernois tune. Dan is working on one for the vararam, the one I have is for the stock air box. I hope to get the updated tune this week.

Here is a quick video that I told Charlie I would post up. We did some more tuning on the car and we are at 386RWHP and 405RWTQ !! THESE PULLS WERE IN FORTH GEAR.
