I have posted this problem along with many others:the inevitable streak in the center of the wiper blade on the driver side(maybe pass side for some).

I once suggessted that it has something to do with the angle of the metal blade itself, not the wiper. After replacing the blade at the dealer and again with an aftermarket,it was fixed...for a few weeks! The problem came back. For many others,it took 3 or more new blades courtesy of gm dealer to fix until they gave up.No amount of cleaning ever made a difference!

I finally went out to my trunk and grabbed an adjustable crescent wrench.
Thats step one!
Step two: pull driver side wiper blade up until it stands on its own 90 degrees from the windshield.
Step three. use crescent wrench to grab flat steel that forms a "z" before it holds the wiper.Bend it,flexing 3 or 4 times (carefully not to snap)in a clockwise motion(right hand towards the glass)until you see it has a sharper angle to the windshield....Whammo!

Wipers like new!!!!streak is gone instantly.

I dont know why i thought this would work all this time and didnt do it sooner.

Thanks for sharing.

I haven't driven my car in the rain much. I'll try this out if I have a problem.

Great work Bubba! My original replacement Trico is still working fine, but that bitch is like $19.95 real money. This looks like something even a penguin can do. :p

I have two streaks in my drivers side, but I also have two little rips in the rubber part itself that wipes the window. i just bought some Valeo OE (?) wipers online, I'll let you know how they work.
