It's really very simple. Definitely plug into the computer for an update first. Just follow the instructions in the box. I would take pictures of that, but the windows based computer is in my son's room and he's asleep. Here's pics of the in car part of the install. Takes a few minutes from beginning to end. In this time, you're car will ding during the install, flash stuff on the dash, etc. It's normal. Choose the "advanced tune" if you want to turn off afm/dod, set rev limiter higher, turn of/on speed limiter and so forth. The quick tune is not capable of changing all that stuff. You don't have to save the stock tune manually, the Cortex will save it automatically when you plug it in the first time.

Tune the car, update the tuner via computer, purchase the CAI tune if needed, re-flash the car with the latest tune.

CAI tunes will show the CAI manufacturer then the octane.
(Rotofab example: Rotofab93, Rotofab91, Rotofab87)
