ok the crazy question of the week is:

obviously the tires is the answer, but the question is: Other then the tires are there any long term effects or damage (stress) on a car for doing excessive burnout(s)??
Why I can't stop doing them every time I get into the car i do a burnout maybe next time I will record it!!

:poof:

As long as you are not holding the brake or wheel hoping at hi rpms, its really a tire life issue. However, extended abuse of anything can rear its ugly head and find the weakest link.

Holding the brake during the burnout will cause the rear brake pads to wear.

Even on asphalt burnouts will throw crap on your car that may chip the paint. Invest in some scented Kuhmos.

Another thing that will be damaged is your bank account!! Burnouts eat up gas (frequent trips to the pump) as well as tires!! Wait until u have to buy another set of tires!! I used to love doing burn outs in my truck until it was time to buy new tires.. I stopped that crap real fast!! :spank:

I did a nice long maybe 60 foot one in front of my house for my neighbor the other day... My fiance' just shook her head in disbelief.

I started on the brakes just to get them to break loose then instantly let off and mashed the gas. THAT is the first one with my summer tires. I do get 2nd gear scratches a lot though. 600 bucks for two tires can be hard to swallow.

I invested bought 8 summer 19" tires from the forum and an extra set of wheels I also got the Baer Big Brake kit in the front. My car is supercharged and my hp is at 496.5 and the longest set of tire markings that I made which I measured with a measuring wheel was 227 feet. Going through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear!! and not starting on the brakes, spooling up the boost then traction control off and flooring it!!

I blew two rear ends on my 79 Diplomat doing burnouts, and 1 trans on a pot hole. All good learning. That car was always "under repair"

At your power I dont know....

Holding the brake during the burnout will cause the rear brake pads to wear.

and excess heat in the rear bearings...

I don't know about Florida, but in North Carolina if your caught doing a burnout you'll get smacked with a Careless and Reckless ticket. It doesn't take too many of those to amount to losing your license:hang:

that is the best point so far!!!
I was caught once my a cop in my town (all the cops know what I drive and we are usually on a first name basis) but I said that it was an accident and my over-weight foot slipped and mashed the gas pedal and most of the smoke is from a smoke machine I have mounted in the trunk for the girls of course. He laughed then ran my name in the computer came back and said its not an accident but he is going to take me to jail. I had a shocked look and then he laughed again and let me go!! So I think it all depends on the cops mood that day!!!

You don't need tires, you need a set of wings zoso!
