I made a quick run today with the camera in the car. I wedged the tripod in the back seat. I didn't realize that my mug was in the picture when I made the video.

Sounds great! What mufflers are you running with the headers? My GT hits 100 in 3rd gear, and by the time you shift to fourth I'd be past you. I bet your car would be so much quicker with a tune!

They're still stock mufflers unless he's done something drastic in the last 24hrs.

How does gear comparison to speed determine that you would be past him at that speed? If yours hits 100 in 3rd in 7.5 seconds his could hit 100 shifting into fourth in 7.0 seconds...

Sounds incredible BTW. Now do some WOT runs with the filming outside the car (of course someone else filming, we don't need to start doing WOT "Ghost riding the whips")....please:)

The supercharger really changes the character of the car allot.

The low rpm torque is something.
I think I've reached the limit of the stock suspension even with running only 6lbs boost.
Might be hard to launch with a manual and the maggie. A procharger might be better.

You should be near 400rwhp with a tune.

I'm running the stock mufflers. Your GT has a final drive ratio of 2.92. The GXP with the manual transmission has a final drive ratio of 3.70. That's the difference in me being in 4th at 100 and you being on 3rd at 100. If you are ever near Greensboro NC I'll be glad to run you. ;)

You really need to do a little more homework on the GXP. My car, which is a manual, comes with a 3.70 rear gear.

This is the same as my car with the exception of the black and red interior.
Do a Ctrl + F for the word axle.

I did put the headers on with help from someone that does it for a living. With a lift and air tools it was fairly easy.

GM could really bolster sales if they shot a similar ad from the drivers point of view running through the gears showing the tach and open road and then panning out at the end to show its 4 door sedan opposed to a sports car. Wouldn't hurt sales if they offered the manual in the GT either...

Especially the burble sound that comes out at WOT inbetween shifts, one of my fav things about owning a manual that most people don't notice.

I'm pretty much speechless man. That thing sounds beautifully. I like how it is still pretty subtle while you were driving like a normal person. But when you stepped on it - HIDE THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN! haha. Very cool video.
