I like seeing the outside temp and it's a LOT of effort to reach all the way from my shifter to my A/C control and THEN I have to actually push a button! By then I'm out of breath and need a nap.

So, is there a way to adjust that setting? Thanks.

It would be nice if you could just press a button and talk to the car computer. Wait a minute thats another button you'd need to press.

I feel exactly the same way. On the '08, it would switch back after 20 secs. or so. But I noticed right away that the '09 stays as long as you want it. Or, until you shut down & restart. Would'nt it be a bitch if the GXP's didn't do that?

Maybe there's a secret engineering mode for the radio/HVAC.

I have been wondering if this was possible too. I hate having to turn on the outside temp every time I get into the car.

I think you have just won this months award for: "Most appallingly lazy member".

Now let me make sure I understand this........?? So, you are saying that having to push a button once to show exterior temp. until you next turn the ignition off is too much trouble?

Perhaps, if you held the button down once while squirting super glue into the switch, then taping over it 'til the glue sets up??? Worth a try IMO. :p

Another solution comes to mind! Since your mod budget tops out at $50, you might try following another G8 home. Then, if they have a DashHawk, just throw a large rock thru the window and grab it. Be sure to get the cable too. If you feel that your conscience might bother you, here's a solution for under $10.00 + tax at your local Target store. Just tape it to your driver side mirror and your'e set for all seasons. http://www.target.com/Derby-Duck-Swimming-Pool-Thermometer/dp/B000QCVCF4/sr=1-11/qid=1237670391/ref=sr_1_11/183-5010063-6154617?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&pricerange=&rh=k%3Athermometer%20outdoor&page=4

Is there a way to default that on everytime you start the car?

You coulda just said no, but that would be too easy.

So, to be short and simple, the answer is no?

Correct.

Thanks :).

I just posted on another thread, but do you know if you can default the daytime runners off, rather then have to use the switch on every startup?

Pull the DRL fuse. Again, there is a thread on this as well...... Search is your friend.

Nope, I couldn't. Otherwise, everytime you have a question there would be a new thread. Search first, post second.

I did do the search for Daytime Lights, but didn't find this. I'll try searching for DRL and see if that gets me anywhere.
