The G8 trailing arm is strong enough, but the bushing is very weak. We offer the inner and outer trailing arm bushings.

EP7265 Zeta Rear Trailing arm Inner $96.20 This bushing only takes about 10 minutes to press in/out. the OE units are quite weak.

Now there is also a outer trailing arm bushing that is just as weak as the inner.

EP7266 Zeta Rear Lower Control Arm & Rear Trailing Arm Outer (2 kits required) $96.20

this bushing goes into the knuckle section.

The trailing arm itself is plenty strong. GM Racing feels the same way. GM Racing will use our Pedders bushings on the rear of the Koni Series Camaro, which has the same setup of the trailing arm as the G8

They really do work! I think the higher the HP levels you reach the more mandatory they become.

so it 193 for all the parts for the rear trailing arms? What is the advantage of these vs the aftermarket trailing arms?

the issue with the trailing arm is not the arm but the bushing. there are 2 bushings related to the trailing arm; the inner and the outer. There is no issue with the trailing arm itself. GM racing feels the same. They are using our bushing with a stock trailing arm

2 pieces of metal tack welded together leaves a lot to be desired in the arm itself.

the critical arms in the rear are the upper and lower control arms. The trailing arm is not a super critical arm. GM Racing feels it is strong enough for their new GS series racing Camaro. Bushings, however, are a different matter.
But if you want a good looking trailing arm, go ahead.

Is there a DIY on the bushings on your site and what is the total cost for replacement?

I have not made one yet, but it is a simple bolt on/off arm. Then using a universal ball joint press to get the bushings out. They are not steel jacketed, so therefore just a compresion rubber fit.

I will dig up some pictures and post how to remove the bushes

I'm getting ready to order the G8 Street 1 Kit (suspension). But I also want to order the trailing arm bushings.

My question is, which trailing arm bushings do I need to order & how many?

From DMS's quote below, I know I need to get:

EP7625 Zeta Rear Trailing Arm Inner @ $96.20 <-- Do I need 1 or 2 of these?

EP7266 Zeta Rear Lower Control Arm & Rear Trailing Arm Outer @ $96.20 each <-- I need to get 2 of these right?

* With those 2 parts I should be all set with trailing arm bushings, correct?

These are the 2 trailing arm bushes:
EP7265 Zeta Rear Trailing arm Inner
EP7266 Zeta Rear Lower Control Arm & Rear Trailing Arm Outer

the EP7265 is the inner, and the EP7266 is the outer (attached to the knuckle)

These 2 packages will take care of all 4 of your trailing arm bushings

Hope this helps

Mike / DMS:

Thank you very much for clearing that up. I will order the EP 7265 and the EP 7266, along with my G8 Street 1 Pedders Kit.

Also, I talked to Steve at Victory Racing Engines and told him I was interesed in getting these installed. He was very help full.......

Thanks again for your help! :)
