Hey SRG any update on the tune release? In your last post you said it could possibly be today? :D

The best way for me to describe the new 93 tune, is that it feels like I've taken 300 to 400 pounds out of the car.

I haven't changed any of my settings, the Cortex remembers what I like.

Download the update

Plug in, selected Advanced tune, then 93 Performance Tune.

Scroll down and select continue and watch your dash come to life.

I noticed a difference as soon as I pulled out of my driveway.

"Anna told me this morning that the 93 Octane files for the G8 GT are up in the production Internet Update system. It should come up as a package after their tuner was updated. After selecting the package and turning on the new power level they should be able to go up and see it above the 91 Performance power level…"

Ask Anna to doublecheck, I just ran it again. Still no update. :charlie2:
Im sure it will be there sometime today. Gotta leave for work though, wanted to get there on a 93 tune and faster :D No worries

Alrighty my friends.

Superchips instructions for the latest 93 Performance Tune:
Select the package for 93 Performance Tuning at the bottom of the page after the standard tuner updates.

The 93 tune is in the area with the data logging, just click on it to download.
Hope this helps

It's not there ......

After the updates, I only have options for the Data Logging and Mileage XS packages. Performance Tune does not show up at all.

Looks like it may be tomorrow before the release is ready to go.

By the way, has anyone had success getting the Data Logging and Mileage XS packages....

I've only had the data acquisition added to my Cortex, but it's an option when I plug into my car. So yes it's working for me.


Haven't played around with it yet though.

I think it's something to do with the trucks and towing heavy loads to increase gas mileage. Like SLVR said, nothing for us...

Ya, active duty USAF hydraulics specialist. I guess you could call it cargo, but it all explodes. It's a B-52h. I'm stationed at Barksdale, been here about 7 years now, trying to keep these ancient things flying. They really wanna keep 'em in the inventory til 2040, they're insane!

Holy crap! Are they insane? We were barely keeping the P3 airframes together when I left in 95 and there just replacing it with a mod 737 called the MMA. Hope they get them out before the P3's go boom too. Here's a pic of the modern wonder P8A Poseidon. (fancy name huh) :devil:

I've done mine and its pretty cool. You'll like it, not a huge difference, but, I may not have all my 91 out of the car yet, I loaded 93 on top what I had left. So, Maybe reading that the octane isn't high enough. I'll fill again tomorrow and then it should be all 93.

The 93 octane tune has been out for a couple weeks now. It definitely there. No offense but it's user error if you don't find it.

got it up and all there is

data/ and milege XS...
says its updated but never got to choose a 93 octane choice and tuner doesnt have 93 choice.

I have the problem (no 93 octane update package in the update software, and no option when tuning inside the car). I work in IT, am an MCSE, A+ certified, develop software, etc. I am currently on a $10k box that I built looking at 4 - 22" LCDs.

I have emailed superchips. Shane, how did they end up fixing yours?

You should tune to 91 and have fun. Reports have come in that the 91 tune is faster for now. This will be corrected, but the 91 tune is actually faster right now!

I ran 92 in my car the other day while I had it tuned for 93 and could tell a slight increase going by seat of the pants.

I checked Fri, Sat and today and the 93 tune isnt there. I think they took it down because the 91 tune was better for some reason. Im calling SC monday to see whats up.

im happy with the 91 and what it seems people go faster with the 91 anyway..

Just using this for now until i can shell the money out for hptuners(not knocking superchips)

Question for anyone that knows.. My local pumps carry 87, 89 and 93 octane fuels. what kind of drop off will i see if i stay with the 91 tune running 89 octane fuel?

I'd assume that the only difference (not necessarily a "drop off" as you put it) is that you might have a tune that's too aggressive for the fuel you're running - meaning you might see more knock than is otherwise acceptable.

If you are changing over from 91 octane to 93 octane, this is totally possible.

If you do switch fuels, I suggest finding 105 racing fuel and adding one to two gallons along with 93 to balance out your tank. Octane booster may also work, but I'd rather use fuel.
