Tell me what you have your Cortex set to. My experience is all of 30 minutes with it, so I'm looking for your personal experience.

Mine is set at 91 and the transmission is set at "SUPERCHIPS" which I believe is 100%.

Advanced performance tune, speed Limiter raised, shift torque 50% and everything else at Superchips value.

You seem to be the expert and I'm sure you've tried every option, so I'm gonna try that out.

Rev raised, speed limiter raised, 91 tune, 125% shift torque (awsome) all other SC values. I'm still wanting to try the 150% shift, but, just haven't set it there yet. What can be changed in the quick tune?

LOL, not much, that's why it's a quick tune :nud:

I do adjust the shift torque around depending on temp. The more heat, the more shift torque.

Shift torque at Superchips value (100%), and I can melt the tires right off :woohoo:

I think I got whiplash when I had it set at 125. Quickly changed it back to 100, now back down to SRG's 50% to give that a whirl. Sure is nice to be able to plug and change it unlike all the other tunes available.

I have it all at the same execpt for the fan setting I left at stock. I tried it at superchips setting and it seemed to be always on when the car was running awhile. Especially when stoped it bothered me. Seemed very loud even with the windows up inside the car. So set it back to stock and its all good! :D

Under mild acceleration with the Superchips settings, the engine revs higher than I prefer before shifting. It would be nice to have economical low rpm shifts in normal mode and performance shifts in sport mode.

Mine's currently set to 87 octane and 50% shift torque with all other values at Superchips default.

I've tried 50%, 100%, and 150% shift torque thus far. I think 50% is pretty close to where I want the car to be, but I'm going to try 75% before I finalize where I want it long term.

Also, I'm going to change the rev limiter and shift points back to stock. My car shifts at 6200 RPM with the Superchips settings, and it's obvious when you drive it that the setting needs to be more like 5800-6000.

91 octane, 50% shift torque, raised the speed limiter, turned off AFM. Love the way it shifts now. Might try another shift tq. but I'm just gonna wait for the 93 octane and NEP CAI specific tune to be released.

Here are my initial impressions of the 93 octane performance tune vs. the 87 octane tune, both with 50% shift torque, after a 5 mile drive:

1) The car seems to have quite a bit more torque right off idle and part throttle.

2) The shifts seem to be a bit smoother, especially on the 2-3 shift

3) I couldn't do any full throttle upshifts because it started raining pretty hard, but I did floor it in 2nd and 3rd in manual mode before it got too slick. The throttle response is noticeably better than before but the car seemed a bit down on power. As stated above, I have been running 87 octane. I had about 2 gallons left when I filled with 93, so it may be that the octane level of the blend isn't quite where it needs to be for the tune and it was pulling timing. I would expect to see a nice power increase with the 93 octane tune, but it definitely isn't there right now.

4) I agree with SRG963 that the AFM settings seem to have been changed. My car seemed to stay in 4 cyl. mode longer at a 40-45 mph cruise. I'll get a better feel for that tomorrow during my commute (80 mile round trip, 90% highway).

What does torque shift setting exactly do? If you are looking for better MPG and a smoother ride what setting would you use?

As you increase that percentage removed the shifts will get more and more firm. I would think if you want smoother ride and better mpg that just loading the performance tune you want and leave shift performance alone would produce the best results.

Speed raised, Shift points raised, afm disabled 50% shift torque are my settings. Good for DD and decent for roll races. Tried it at 150% Shift torque and my car didnt like it. Cruising at 65 mph and would throw it into sport mode, car instantly went into limp mode. Was weird because it was only when i downshifted either manually or sport.
