I use the 555R on my vette (18 inch wheel also, but wider) I like them for daily driving but they are not a serous drag tire. I have cut a 1.61 on them but with MT's I've gone 1.51's. :nah:

The 555R's handle well in the rain so to me it makes a really great daily driver tire for a car with a good bit of power.

The MT does work better, but the Nitto is the only one that is a true "street tire". You can drive them in rain, snow, what ever you want; not so much with a BFG or MT. Plus it helps when you can get 10-12000 miles outta a sticky tire

I have nitto invos. I'm waiting for my car to return from LIVERNOIS before I can try them out.

Here INVO tires help a Viper to a 9.88. Hopefully they can help the G8 out.

Can you tell a difference on the street?

Yes....it definitley hooks up better ...and not a whole lot of wheel spin in second gear as it was with the factory tires....hooks up real good after heating them up. Hopefully there won't be any wheel hop when I get it on the track.

Agreed. I have them on my TA, but swap to MTs on track days. They do well on the track, but aren't the best option out there for that purpose. As for street driving, traction is great and they're really composed in the rain.
