Chevrolet Camaro RS engine swap into a G8 ?

My G8s engine died on me last week. I was going to replace it with another LY7 but I noticed that the LFX engine in the Camaro RS had a bit more power and are also a bit newer. So is there any way I can swap in the LFX into my G8 or should I just get the LY7 again.????

It will likely bolt right in. The BIG hurdles will be fuel and control. The LFX is direct injection and your existing fuel supply is not compatible. The stock ECM probably will be unable to be programmed to control the motor either.

You could also look at getting an L76 + 6L80E....
