Alright, after driving my GXP w/manual tranny almost 800 miles in a week and a half of ownership, I have conlcluded I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE SHIFT FROM 1-4 requirment in our GXP's. :hang::puke:Screw that noise! I wouldn't give a bucket of piss for this feature. I am calling on a vendor to develop a tune/plug and play programmer to disable this feature within the tcm/ecm/pcm etc. In my charger rt I could disable MDS with Superchips as I pleased. I know this has to be doable. Someone provide me with a shimmer of hope...

do a search for cags eliminator online... any of the many thousand nearly free diy to $50 parts for F-body corvette or GTO should work.

I deleted this feature on both 02 Vette and 04 GTO. Would guess that the same $20-30. plug kit will work on GXP. Takes about 30 sec under car by tranny...

I appreciate the help, but my A.D.D. can't waite, I already purchased the one for the ls3 c6. Glad there's something relatively simple and inexpensive to fix this. thanks.

Will do, from what I read its merely an unplug, plug back up type deal. You'll still see the light, but you'll be able to shift to whatever f-ing gear you like. On a side note, I have the mud flaps you put on, they arrived today at the dealership. I'm going by there this afternoon to get them put on.

It can also be tuned out so if a tune is in your future, save the $ for the plug and just do it then.
