Some guys asked a long time ago about the availability of these.
They are not normally available seperate from the airbag assembly.

Somebody has a new one for sale on Aussie ebay at the moment. This is Rare.

Check your measurements and think about the safety implications.

If you want it then go for it.
Same deal I offer everyone, if he wont ship to USA for a reasonable price you can get it sent to me and I'll forward it on for you.

Paul,

This was next on my list... How hard is it to change out? Is it usually part of the air bag cover?

Hi Rob,
To get that badge thru normal channels you have to buy a complete new HSV airbag assembly. Then you have problems freighting them if you're 100% honest about the contents.
I do not know how the badge changes out.
Looks to have 4 mounting pins and maybe a central screw ?

Get ahold of Penguin and see if he can tell from his wreck how that part goes together.....that's if the airbag cover can still be found.

"that's if the airbag cover can still be found".

I just had it surgically removed from my forehead. :p The car was finally towed away last week as I had liberated all of my mods and was tired of making two car payments. Too bad, I could have looked.

I would like a Holden streering wheel badge tho'. I wonder how close the 18" wheel center caps are? Hmmmm, super glue!!!

The badge is a great deal(i have it). But it's extremely dangerous and hard to replace, because you have to disassemble entire airbag to get to the 5 welding points on the back of the badge and drill them out before you can install a new one in.

Yes I thought the Pontiac badge might now be a part of your beak.

HSV wheel centre caps are 63mm dia, Holden 18" wheel centre caps are 60mm dia.......both too big and have no means of attaching apart from glue. Not good.

Sounds like it would probably be easier to have one's ophthalmologist tattoo the holden badge on one's eyeball, and then we would always see it instead of the Pontiac "V"!

Great idea Rob! Since I have plastic lenses in both eyes, (cataracts) I can have him laser the lion on each one. :woohoo:

You'll be substantially closer in about a week from now.
Not the eye thing......with the decorating thing.

G'day, my first post on here.

I want to do the opposite, change over a Holden emblem to a Pontiac one.

How did you manage to do it please?

I will trade you my airbag for yours, that is how.

I've tried putting the Pontiac disc from a 19" wheelcap over the Holden emblem and it was a failure.
I can't remember if it sat too high or the disc was too large in diameter, it just didn't work.
(The opposite does work tho, Holden 19" wheelcap disc onto Pontiac emblem.)
