Yea...I made the mistake of taking Tigger to work and when the great thaw happened the yard turned into a mud hole. :( Detail overhaul coming very soon! ;)

I think theres a fine line of what is clean and what is not. I have to say that overall I think it is nice, but the engine cover is a little extreme. I've got an IOM as well and have to say Im a tad jealous as I can't spend a whole lot of money on mods at the time. :(

try buying the trim off of someone who has the peeling problem...

or have someone take the trim off a totalled car, and im sure charlie or some of the other guys here could guide you in safe removal of the trim around the steering wheel

Yea, the body shop is just going to do it for me. First thing they said when they saw the interior pics was...."Shoulda done the steering wheel." Told them they sounded like my wife. Lol! Tail lights will be back on tomorrow, they are cleared and now just need buffed. The side marker lights turned out good as well. Pics of both tomorrow.

Just regular black will do.

Actually they had to play with the blend, because just using black was to dark....It's about three shades from black, what ever that is, lol! After the black was applied they cleared it with three coats.

Thanks guys! Slow work in progress. Every time I make a change, it causes another. I think detailing the car is worse than modding it. I have my Holden Emblems, and they will be going on soon. The headlight covers will be tinted to match the tails and they're going to try and make it so the small Holden symbol still shows.

I love the look of what you've done. I'm seriously considering doing the paint on the interior trim, just have to get the ok from the boss. If you do decide to do the Holden conversion and are looking to sell the Pontiac front end i would be interested in the bumper maybe. I tore the crap out of the bottom of mine on a stupidly high curb. I was going to get it fixed but i'm holding off to see if i want a GXP bumper or the Holden OR...............?
On another note, how hard are the headlight covers to get on and off? I was looking at those as well but i wasn't sure about removing them for night driving.

My wife is really wanting to do the Holden Conversion but the other things come first... I'll have to make sure I don't let her see your car! Although since she decided to run over a curb with the front end I may be putting a GXP front on ours until we can get the Holden front end...

You think 3 IOMs in your area is bad... Try having a clone in the same neighborhood, even bought it from the same dealer!

Anyone know if there is a holden badge small enough to fit where the arrow head is? :sneak:

looks really good Jay. My Holden VE conversion is in my garage right now. Going down to the body shop tonight. The car should be there Monday. They are going to blend into the front fenders and re clear the whole thing while on the car. I am going to post a question on removing the steering wheel air bag.

Just came back from my paint guy and we are plotting and planning the next change. We are going to paint the hood like the Firehawk, as well as the lower rockers, and rear bumper and spoiler. The GXP diffuser will be painted IOM. Cant wait till he gets some room for us to do this, hopefully within a week or two.

The clear coat on the tinted red reflectors for the GXP diffuser is drying as I type, as well as the flat black on the exhaust tips. Pics with in the next hour or so.

I like the hood, w/o the pontiac logo though. The rear bumper does not do it for me, but hey, to each his own. You might want to consider doing the front lip as well to match the sideskirts (unless you're waiting on the carbon fiber lip?).

I've been told it was not necessary but it'll get done after my stall goes it. The line-loc only takes a couple of hrs to do. I'd suggest doing something like I did.

I've been running the converter since last Aug. The trans temp will get over 200 in the middle of summer, in traffic. But it stays in the 180 -190 range the rest of the time.

In 40-50 degree weather, it's lower.

I went for a cruise last night. It was 60* AAT. The DashHawk read 155 to 160 for the trans temp.

We are going to still keep some black on the rear end from the break in the rear quarter and roll it around and tie it into the diffuser. We are going to see what we can do with the reflectors to throw a hint of orange in there.....Stay tuned. Car goes in tomorrow.

Thanks! It still will be at the rear, just toned down a little. It's definitely one of those paint schemes that the pictures don't seem to give any justice to, lol. A lot of people once they have seen it in person, have liked it. I personally, am just not happy with the rear, and I came up with it, lol. That reminds me, now I have to edit my Forza 3 car...... :)

Tiggers 2010 reveal has been post-poned a week, as my buddies shop that was dead when I dropped parts off has become slammed. But, front emblem holes are filled, paint stripped off of rear bumper, and bumper and nose are primed.

Instead of the rear bumper being all black we are going to just follow the crease line on the quarter panel and follow it around the diffuser, which will also be black.

I thought about it, but I felt it might add to much black. But now that the rear end has been toned down it might look good. Decisions, decisions, lol.

Thanks. If I would have went with the bigger rear spoiler it would have looked right. I think this will flow much better.

TIGGER WAS NAKED TODAY!! My car was at the dealer today getting the trans topped off and the linkage put back on. I looked out at my car while it was up on the lift and low and behold, Tigger was on the lift next to mine. Jay is having undisclosed modifications completed on the car during body shop down time. I was going to look away but was strangely aroused. Tigger's back end was bare naked. LOL
Aaron pretty much told me what was going on with the car but I will leave Jay to blow you away in it, then tell you about the mods. Looking good so far Jay, I'm getting just as excited about your as you are.Can't wait to see the finished blur of orange fly by me.

Well, given my current work schedule, the G8, and my ARCA racing schedule I can't justify spending 20K just so its a "Harley". I've ridden and owned almost every brand and you know what? Two wheels, and a motor makes a motorcycle. I treat and respect any and every rider as a brother/sister of the wind no matter what they ride.

I should clarify, the rear is done, the rear quarter panels are not. We are going to add paint along the very edge of the quarter panels to help tie in the rockers.

Mucho bettero Jay! I think the addition of the black on the bottom will help tie it all in as long as you don't go UP with it.

Thats why we put it together before the paint. I originally planned on taking it up to the crease in the fender, but there was no good way to tie it into the rear bumper.

I mounted it, but my buddy did the lines for me while it was on the lift bleeding the brakes for the line lock.

Forgive me, these aren't the greatest, but space was limited in shop. Car is also filthy....Lol! Major cleaning coming tomorrow! The orange is gone from the hood as well, but it was getting a stone chip touch up, and couldn't raise the hood to show you guys.

Well, I swapped axle backs with Jerry (DeputyCrawford). I'm now running the Pypes Violators, and man do they sound wicked. Car is great on the inside, and loud as hell on the outside. Jerry's car sounds much better with the Kooks Gen IIs now as well.

Paint the rocker panels body color and put the fender mounted lenses back to stock, clear, and it would be perfect, IMO. Either way, it looks much better than before! :cool:
