Ok I'm hoping to get on the Dyno this week and do a stock ECM pull then do 2 VMS pulls. I know 4th is the gear of choice but do you start out in first or just run manual up to 4th? Also ant other does and don't?
Thanks and sorry for sounding like such a nubbie

Just manually shift it through the gears until in 4th. Keep your engine temps low/the same for each pull.

So the 1hr drive to get it done won't help much :(

Usually the only thing you have to do is sit there while the dyno certified tech does the work. You get the numbers sheet, and hopefully pride in your work!

But as Charlie said, roll it up through the gears to 4th. There are variances between techs on which rpm to start. Usually between 2500-3000, then drop the hammer! Pulls are killed usually 500rpm past peak power.

I was thinking they did all the work but wasn't sure if they had done a G8 yet,
And sad to say no pride just a :imbarassed: look on my face.
