I'm swapping out my oil pump as my oil pressure has been a little low. While I'm in there I'm gonna swap out the timing chain and dampener. Will an ls2 chain be a good replacement? I have one on my ls1 currently and it's been good to me so far. My car is stock except headers and I still have DOD with no intentions of doing a cam swap.

Yes you can use ls2 damp. Be ready to fish parts out of your oil pan.
Also worth checking / cleaning the little filter that is in the valley cover below the oil pressure sending boss.

There ARE better chains out there! Cloyes comes to mind. Definitely use the LS2 dampener over the L76 or LS3 one.
