Here's the results of the dyno tune for my GXP, M6. Only mod is a Cold Air Intake. Running on 93 Octane. There are a few extra baseline runs because we were having some issues with the A/F readings.

Baseline: (368hp / 372ft-lbs)

After Tune: (385hp / 391ft-lbs)

The timing retard in the Baseline between 3000-4200 was caused by torque management. We could never get rid of the retard at 5200-5400 RPM, though. Can any of you Dyno experts out there think of a reason for pulled timing at the 5200-5400 range?

Note: Although it was turned off between test runs, no attempt was made to cool the engine.

I think that is a combo of heat soak cat-overtemp.

It's A G8!

Looks like these have a more aggressive tune from the factory than the GT... great numbers though.

I wonder how much a set of headers will do for the GXP?

Well over 400 rwhp. I'm gonna guess around 420 rwhp with the ARH system and some tuning.

You think it'll be that low? I'm guessing in the 420s as well. The GTs are getting some pretty good #s out of their LT/Xpipe swaps. Regardless that's still unreal that its not even modded and knocking on 400rwhp's door. gonna be interesting when the guys with money to blow start going internal and FI on these badboys. I can hear 500rwhp NA, can anyone else?

Remember, you are already starting out with a LOT more cam than the G8. As a result, you aren't going to see the same magnitude of improvement with a cam swap. Now, adding a blower will be like adding a small cam + blower to the GT. 500 rwhp is NOT going to happen NA without a RADICAL cam or increased cubes.
