I Want This Front End!!

This is the Holden W427 HSV and by far the best front end I have seen on this car!! Anyone know if its available. Holden is only building 1000 of these cars and pricing is estimated at $165,000. But maybe we'll be able to order the front end?

I think it's only 427 of these to be built actually.
Price is high? Yes it sure is. Highest cost for any Holden ever. (when compared to the GTS300 with the C4B Calloway LS1 from 1997 it's pretty close)
Because there are going to be so few of them the engineering to get a LS7 with dry sump into these things with factory warranty, and in such small numbers. If there were going to be heaps of them they could recover the development costs much better.
Because getting an LS7 to play nice with a M6 in a car that is 4000lbs is pretty tough, especially when keeping the Traction Control and Magnetic Ride Control working correctly.
Because the brakes are HUGE and quite expensive.
Because in Australia we $ for $ get paid more, but in turn pay more for everything. (an M5 BMW over here is north of $200,000)

You're right though. They're one damn hot looking car. Even better in person.

They are having a different conversation in Australia than we are having up here, and we want in on it. Holden has just announced that the limited-edition Holden W427 will have 500 hp and 471 ft-lb of twisty motion. Sure, we have the Corvette Z06 -- which donated its engine for the W427 -- but Australia's only got 20 million peeps. And a bunch of them don't live in places where you could give this Holden a proper whipping.

The car will be held to just 427 units, and these units and their screaming red interiors will be arriving at dealerships with an MSRP of $AUD 150,000... plus taxes. Dealer allocation will be based on sales figures from last year. The W427's limited run will help it, to be sure, but the price is more than double the price of the Ford FPV F6, which goes for $AUD 65,990. The Falcon is down about 80 horsepower vs. the Holden, but it's also down on weight. We think it might be time for Holden to invite Autoblog Down Under to settle this once and for all.

Yea I like the GTS front end a lot...until I came across the W427. For $3500 + Shipping I would rather have the front of the W427. Maybe through Holden who know. First I have to crack my front end so I have an excuse to give to the wife :)

I haven't seen 1 W427 specific part become available to buy anywhere as yet.

How likely it it that there would be a G8 edition of this seen in the states. Different body enhancements. Call it the "Judge" or something. Give the M5, Audi RS6 and AMG C63 some competition. Price it around 45K-50K, But the economy sucks. Oh well!:wacko:

Man they have some really nice stuff on that site. It's a shame the site died on me when i looking at some other stuff.
