Wheel well sub enclosures

Hendrix-Engineering is offering a fiberglass enclosure for the spare tire well for GTO's and will make one for the G8 if theres enough interest.

Some in progress pictures. The enclosures will come with a 5 way terminal cup that will accept up to 8ga. wire. Also has a mounting flange so there will be no "plumbers strap" necessary. We are planning to supply the screws to fasten it as well. Internal volume will be close to target. (Looks like a little more right now.) Right now we are looking at a balance between performance (airspace/mounting depth) vs ease of installation. So we have not finalized the design yet.(baffle) And unfortunately the car is in the R&D shop and not in the stereo shop, so it is taking a little more time than we would like. Looks like a nice progression so far. Sorry I can't be the first to say I'm interested as I wont be getting the car for some time yet.

I'm curious, do you have a rough estimate on the volume? What about max sub size/depth?

Guys be advised the one above is for the GTO's. Hendrix will only make these for the G8's if there is enough response.

This is what their offering for the GTO setup. The price of this sub is $289 but we can pair this up with our box and have a great combo at a great price,any takers? $499 sub, box wired and ready to go !

Not being an stereo installing guru by any means :devil: I'd be interested in the complete setup if its easy to install. :)

Definitely interested in enclosure, if it would be a minimum of 2 cubic feet. I run 2 12's.

I'm with G8H8. I was wanting to custom build an enclosure myself, but i would go ahead and buy one if it will fit 2 12's. Wouldnt need any special wiring as i would set that all up myself, just would want the shell.

This summer if I can't buy one, I will be fabbing one from fiberglass and MDF. Our spare tire well is too big not to take advantage of.
