EVAP Canister

Getting code P0446 off and on for the last 3-4 months. Based upon what I find it is the EVAP Canister which sets on top of fuel tank.
Has anybody replaced without dropping the gas tank?

Heard several that did it through the wheel well. Real tight to get tools onto the connections but doable. Search should locate those posts.

I have replaced the SOLENOID - not the canister - through the wheelwell. Do a search for P0449 code for directions. It was a long time ago. The solenoid was about 40 bux. I would not waste money on a canister - never seen one go bad. Even mine, which had filled with fuel, was still good.
