Just noticed this last night and thought it was pretty funky. Unsure if it was in the owner's manual as I didn't exactly read it through and through when I bought the car. If you tap the turn signal stalk (not hold it down) it will automatically flash that signal 3 times for a lane change.

I use that all the time.

Yeah I did a double-take as I thought I had accidentally bumped it over to the locked position. I hit it again as I passed a semi and thought to myself 'this is badass. why didn't my grand prix have this?' lol

Yeah I noticed that right away, but my charger had it too so I guess I knew to look for it.

I like that feature too.
Something I noticed yeasterday while driving my G8 for the 1st time in 4 months. The A/C controls have blue LED's for the cold direction. I never noticed these before.
Funny, considering I have 17k miles on my G8.

I drove my wife's car the other day. I kept tapping the turn signal and letting go because I'm so used to the auto three flashes on the G8. Should be standard on all cars, IMO.

Cars are full of surprises....about a month ago I realized that the aftermarket Moon roof in my G8 automatically closes when I turn off the car. Every other car I have had would stay open when the car was shut off. It took me 6 months to notice that.

I first noticed it on VW's and then my G8. The G8 has a lot in common with VW's, the sunroof, headlight/foglight switch, DIC ect...

I was surprised by the little things that this car does that my Grand Prix didn't do.:)

I use it all the time! My dodge ram had it and I loved it and I was glad to see it on the G8 as well...

I wish our moon roof's that came from the factory closed automatically. That would be nice.

I noticed yesterday, after hearing talk about it, that my sunroof button can be pushed, and doing so stops the roof whereever it may be. Pushing it again sends it on its merry way to whereever it was previously headed.

I used to transport brand new BMWs for my brother in law and thats a feature I fell in love with.. Everytime I would get in a car afterwards, they never had it, then the other day, I pulled up the manual online and saw that it had this feature.. I CANT WAIT TO GET MY CAR AND USE IT lol

I use that all the time.
Me too. When I travel and rent a car I find myself wondering wtf is wrong with these turn signals. Also, the window controls are all wrong.:p

I must say I hate the range of the remote, as well as I hate the sunroof operation.. My grand prix had a huge range of working.. as for the roof, it should just be a twist of the dial, and not having to hold the button.. or at least one touch the button

I thought I would miss the HUD more than I do. The big digital speedo on the DIC is easier to see under some light conditions and I can't figure out how fast I'm going in other cars.

After test driving I see what you're talking about, it is pretty clear.

What I loved about HUD is that it was closer to the view of the road. It may not have saved a lot of time, but I appreciate every fraction of a second that can be placed back on the road while driving.

As far as I know there haven't been much talk of bringing it back, so I'll have to deal.......oh well:huh:

Hmmm, I can't seem to get far enuf away for the remote to not work. I don't know what battery they use, but?

With the premium package, there's not a lot I was left wanting. The only function I wish it had was seat and mirror position memory. Beyond that, my G8 actually as more creature comforts than my old TL

yeah not having at least power reclining is extremely stupid

I would be happy if it had the regular lever recliner instead of the pain in the ass turn knobs.

I wish it had the position memory as well. My wife is 5'4" and I'm 6'1" so I have to become a contortionist to get in the car after she drives it.

I don't mind the reclining knob, it gives an infinite amount of adjustability. My TA has the lever and its always too upright or too reclined. A power option albeit, wouldve been the best fit though.

About the blinkers: I first noticed the feature about 2mths ago, my wife and a friend were with me, and I freaked out over it when I did it. I thougt it was the coolest thing ever, they didn't find it nearly as exciting as I did lol.

Haha I know, right? Thankfully I tend to ride alone in the car so nobody could see me trip out over it lol.

The turn signal thing was something i read about in the manual and started using in the first week. I am also constantly forgetting that my truck doesn't have that feature.

One thing I didn't notice until a few months ago... the tilt wheel tilts up & down AND in & out. I kept trying to figure out how come I was having more difficulty reaching the steering wheel when I had done nothing different. I guess every time I released the tilt lever, the steering column would push in a tad till it eventually reached bottom. I started bitching about how I couldn't get comfortable anymore & my girlfriend tells me "pull the steering wheel out then". I had no idea.
