My ac compressor belt came off today. When I put it back on and started my car up I noticed the crank pulley was wobbling around. I have read that a lot of people are experiencing this due to the harmonic balancer.

Whats everyones opinons or suggestions. If I need to buy a new one where would be a good place to get it?

If you want the complete solution:
ATI super damper (917246)
Dual pulley A/C bracket (contact Crazy Paul)

Damn ATI is always expensive, I guess you get what you pay for. Ill probably just keep an eye on it for now

You can also just buy a stock replacement from Greg at Pace Performance; I think they are a little over $100 but that's memory. On the ac belt, Crazy Paul's solution is bullet proof; some have just gone to a shorter belt and had good success too - it's the cheaper solution to try first to save some money.

The short belt may still come off and has been known to take part of the AC pulley with it. If this happens the cheap fix becomes expensive.

Good point! I went with the real fix from Crazy Paul and no more issues!

Real fix for me too! I learned a LONG time ago that many times you pay now, or pay later. I seldom take the cheap road when fixing things. My car hasn't tossed a belt since installing CP's bracket. Money well spent IMO!

If you like seeing a bunch of cheap ass fixes, check out the FB pages. They have one for everything IMO!

The SLP underdrive balancer is an option also.

I've had a shorter Gatorback belt on for the last 30k w/o issue. And my damper has been wobbling since day one and still is. But I have the 2008 belt routing.

This. I bought and got installed a different model, ATI 917266 and I've never had belt issues. I also bought the revised AC bracket from CP but haven't installed it yet.

Mine did the same thing not to long ago when I bought It. I ordered a slp underdrive and put it on zero wobble and a good product. Or an oem will work just Fine since there made out of solid steel now instead of having a rubber core which causes the wobble
