How accurate is the dashhawk when used for 0-60 and 1/4 mile testing?
I only ask bc I just received my Dashhawk and VMS ECM and was going to
do some compare numbers(stock tune vs VMS) I'm only curious because I ran 5 back to back 0-60 runs which the D.H. timed from 4.57-4.63 :uhm:

As long as my runs stay below 4.6, it's obviously dead accurate.:p

It's fairly accurate but wheelspin can screw things up. I've run 0-60 as fast as 2.0, moved about 20 feet.....

Wheel spin has little to due with the accuracy of 0-60 time, more the 1/4 mile time. Unless you spin the tires up to 60MPH.

Not much spin it was a clean launch

Then it should be very close.

I would say it affects any timed run.

Everyone with serious mods have reported inaccurate 0 to 60 numbers with the Dashhawk due to wheel spin.

I can easily spin up to 60 while barely moving :)

I just ran my07 Avalanche (109k on it) and it said 7.78.
That sounds about right and trust me NO wheel spin.

But I doubt the 4.6 on my G8 is right

4.6 is not unrealistic.

I'm still stock except for the NEP CAI

I agree. I have had 4.5 zero to 60's. I can't do it without serious wheel spin.

Maybe tonight  I have the ECM I just have to do the swap, but I want
to try a 1/4 mile D.H. stock run just to compare.

I'm doubting the accuracy too.

Bone stock it says 0-60 of 4.7 sport mode, TC on.

1/4 mile time of 13.2 at 108.74mph with a .65 sec reaction time would put me into 12's pretty shortly as that was only my second attempt.

It'd be cool if it were true, calculated crank hp is 431?

I would say mine is quite accurate I had times of 4.1, 4.15, 4.2 and with traction control off 0-60 time of 3.5, 3.0, 2.88 and the greatest of all 2.5!!!

However the other day I measured at the track my 1/4 mile and my ticket said 12.4 @ 115
and the dashhawk said 12.5 @114 so I think it works quite well for the price paid for the dashhawk. The equipment the insideline uses works well but it costs thousands and a few 10ths of a second isn't worth a grand to me!!

If that's the case they must have tested very weak G8 Gt to get 5.3 stock 0-60 time. because mine will do 4.8 in normal with TC on completely stock according to DH.

I guess I'm just shocked by how fast it really is stock.

And I just ordered a vararam CAI, tune, flash cable, 25% underdrive pulley, Kook's headers and X-pipe...

what was I thinking.

The part about it simulating a quarter mile and taking your reaction time absolutely kicks butt! I could burn thru a tank of gas and some parts playing with that someday...

I won't because I respect the equipment but :)

I'm not staging or anything, just leaving from a stop and according to DH a stock GT can do a sub 13 qtr mile :O
