Hello all,
With yet another fog light bulb taking early retirement, I decided it was time to look at LED bulbs to replace the stock 5202's. What I found is a myriad of options, but I also see "for ornamental use, does not throw appreciable light" on many of them, regardless of light output.

The stock 5202 is rated at 500 Lumens (and 4300K in light color). I see LED's from 300 Lumens to over 1,000, and a few at 4300K (but most at 5000K, 6000K).

So let's do this the RIGHT way. What have YOU used, and is it better/worse/cosmetic only? I am looking for same/better lighting, not cosmetics.

I have stock headlights, so I would like to closely match the light color. My guess is 4300K matches, but 5000K will be the "whitest" that will match. I have not yet looked at HID's as an option.

I appreciate your input, Thanks!

I just put the Diode Dynamics 1410 lumen XML2's in my car, they are nice and bright for LEDs. They offer them in 4, 5 and 6k, I went with the 6k to match my HIDs.

The car had some Multi-LED looking lights in it before (the kind with led's all over them), they were useless for driving.
