I'm sure this has been done B4 but I could'nt find anything in search. There are a few lists out there, but lots of bogus numbers. The owners manual is "contact your dealer" disabled.:p

How about like, interior lighting, fog lamps, license plate, etc??

I have the headlamps, etc. covered.

It might be on the place that shall not be named, over there<<<<<<<<,
but I ain't goin' there.:puke:

I know there's a list somewhere....maybe check posts by Mav. If I was on my laptop I'd track it down for you.

Update to List Foglamp bulbs

Fog lights/driving lights 5202 AKA - (H16, 9009)

I ordered 2 sets from the only company that makes the aftermarkets fog lamp bulbs for the G8GT. PUTCO http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=400278+329751+115&autoview=sku

I got them today and will put them in this weekend. Gonna be a PITA, gotta take off front wheels and pull back the shrouds to get to the bulbs. Unless you know a better way. :D

A few members have installed the Putnum bulbs and they melted the foglight housing. Don't do it!

My 2009 GT had 1156 for rear turn signal...installed from factory...i tried the 7507 but they got stuck in the socket when i tried to install due to pins not being at 180 degrees...i believe the backup were also 1156..talk about a bitch getting the 7507 back out

I have not been able to find a source for the Sylvania bulbs for the low beams. The XV on the number confuses everyone and Sylvania's website leaves a lot to be desired. Anyone purchasing the H11XV bulbs somewhere?

Got 8?

I just modified H9 high beams and put them in on the low side like they do on the GTO's and MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! When and where I drive I need it!!! I hit two raccoons last year in less than 2 months causing $3400 in damage and disabling the vehicle both times due to poor lighting on my last vehicle. I was lucky I didn't hit the deer and hogs that are out. Now in the G8 w/ H9's I light up the road enough for a warning of about 1/2 mile or better even in the ditches...Has already saved me more that once...

I hate do to this but can you get the parts off an 08 and put in the 09 for the glove box light? How big a PITA is it? I also wish Sylvannia work get the ULTRAs out for this car. I also wish for better fog light bulbs. I also wish for world peace but would settle for the bulbs.

The 09's don't have a glovebox light? Wow that's lame. Forget those overpriced Sylvania bulbs that burn out after a year or so, just get HID's. They last so much longer and put out twice the amount of light.

Yes I would like too. BUT what is the price of parts and labor? Any adverse affect on electrical system? And can the glove box from the 08 be installed in the 09?

HID kits are around $80 shipped on Ebay and everything just plugs right in with no adverse affects on the electrical system. You should pull the DRL fuse so the ballasts so they get full power, and they are so easy to install in a couple hours. Here's the kit I bought and it works great, I bought the one with H11 5000K bulbs.

Pay no attention to those jokers, connecting the HID's is simple, everything just plugs right in to the stock wiring.

My front marker / turn signal blew this morning. Took both filaments with it at the same time, which was nice. The factory installs the 2357, just like Sylvania says. Do you think I could find a 2357 amber at any of the four part stores I went to today? Yeah, ummm - NO. The 2057A is the same bulb package, only with a slightly lower light output rating. Which is probably true, but even side by side I couldn't tell the difference. The 2057A-LL (long life) is rated for 2,000 hours, and the 2357A is rated for 400 hours. So unless I find an LED replacement I like, those 2057's are staying right where they are.

And it's a darn good thing that car's as good looking as she is, because if I had to put any other car on a jack to remove the inner fender to replace a darned light bulb, I'd be smackin the ho.

Did anyone notice that they list a step courtsey light bulb? I think that it goes in the front doors. Bet you have to order new wiring harnesses.

Why must you compare my pontiac to a chrysler product? Clearly this bulb trauma has affected my mental stability, there's no reason to try to push me over the edge :hang:

I also noticed the courtesy bulb listing. Someday one of us will probably find a perfectly functioning harness inside the side view mirrors where they almost put a puddle light. But the designers never told the electrical engineers they had decided to delete the feature.

Check on the bottom of your doors. There appears to be a place where the lights were supposed to go. I bet there are pn(s) for a wiring harness, and a bulb mounting fixture simillar to the glove box. And I bet it does connect somehere with the harness to the power mirrors/locks/mirrors. Need to get Crazy Paul's or another individuals opinion on this from the Land of Oz.

I have an 09 and the dealer I bought it from sent the brand new car into the service bay to have the bulb replaced before I took delivery. 1/2 hour later they came out, looked at 3 other G8's and said sorry, no light.

Since then I installed a 10" LED strip from Pepboys. I used the glove box switch from my 57 Nomad to make it work.

What I have a question about is the cabin air filter. My factory build sheet states that one is installed. Does anyone know where it is?

You can have my bulbs when I get back from my retina surgery, it seems I burned them to cinders looking in that mirror too long. Mine are plenty bright, tell her to try it at night, they are not so bright in the daylight or under stadium parking lights.

That's when she complains the most. I must just have sad ones. Even I think they are not that bright. Maybe I will compare them to a friends G8.
