I know you can piece meal all the parts to get a spare tire/tool kit but is there any pre-configured option that's more affordable? (ie <$300??)

I bought my jack kit from Greg at Pace. It was 200 shipped, plus tire and wheel. I'm just using one of my stock GXP wheels and bought a used tire here to spoon on it. I WILL have more than 300 in it when done though. What I have in it is cheaper than being stuck on the side of the road 2 hours from home IMO.

Thanks, will a std. 18" tire/rim fit into the well or does it need to be a spacesaver?

You can fit up to a 19" in there actually! Here's the kit I got from Pace all assembled and ready to go in the car.

Thanks, that's helpful!!

Any suggestion on how to find a cheap 18" steel rim that'll fit the G8 GT?

Talk to Greg at Pace. I have to assume you have the stock brakes on the car. Perhaps a PPV wheel will fit. Otherwise, buy a used wheel here or on the FB classifieds. You can even get a cheap aftermarket wheel from TireRack or Discount Tire with a tire mounted and shipped to you.

That Pace tool kit is nearly $300 shipped!!

Anyone know what other scissor jacks/emergency jacks work well for a G8 GT? I can't help but think there are a ton of options for <<$100.

Did you contact Greg at Pace? It's NOT 300 shipped unless you live in a far off place! ;) He's a vendor here so you can pm him! Greg@paceperformance

NEVER EVER go off the web pricing!

It turns out the G8 scissor jack is identical to the scissor jack from '08 - '13 Impalas and there's tons of them on Ebay. I paid $45 shipped and it includes all the tools. The only thing I might need is a 22mm lug nut wrench. I'm just not sure if Impala's use 22mm lug nuts.

I found a Camaro 18" steel wheel from Ebay for $59 shipped.

I already have a tire to use but It'll probably cost around $20 to get it mounted.

So I'll be into it for around $125.

The round G8 jack container would be a nice to have but it would cost around $75 shipped.
