Hello from Southeast PA

New to G8's- Not to the LSX life. I had a lightly modded 98 Trans Am, that after 7 years got run over by a Semi. I was a fairly active member on LS1Tech [same name] and LS1.com [same name].

I work at a Toyota Dealership [Sales] and somebody just traded in a 2008 Black G8 GT 6.0 with only 64k on the clock. I got it for trade-in price. Can't beat that $h!t

Bone stock. I believe I am going Magnaflow X-pipe [mid muffler delete] and Solo Axle-backs with a Rotofab intake and Superchips Cortex. Wide open to suggestions

haha yeah... I won't say it and advertise them because obviously their shit is weak, but there is another G8 specific BOARD. They were the first one I found when I was trying to use the Interwebz to locate a picture of the full exhaust system.

Travis was screwing with ya! This forum exist BECAUSE of that forum! Our late founder Charlie (may he rest in peace) had had enough of the other forum, so with the ever so awesome "Steve" he created this site over 6 years ago now.

We're MUCH less FPFQ here IMO. (stands for Falling Prices, Falling Quality)

I always wondered what the story was, just never asked or researched. Same type of thing happened between gmfullsize and customgm. CGM being a much better and laid back forum. GMFS is ran by a guy who's only goal is to profit as much as he can with bs ads everywhere, and useless vendors.

G8 board is corporate owned and in it for much the same reason.

and yet they can't approve people in a timely manner, here's an idea, go through vbulletin and remove that feature. Our forum makes small amounts that go to pay for servers and etc.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm sure no one cares, but I found it funny that the other BOARD still hasn't activated me. I tried to respond to someone's for sale post over there and I realized that now 2 weeks later I am still undeserving of membership. 2 bonus points... 1- I emailed them within the first few days of not being activated: no response, no activation 2- I actually even saw that a member there referenced my specific thread here pointing out my lack of activation. Not only did a mod see it, but they responded to the post! And I am still a reject. What an absurd online forum- not allowing new members and all.

In any case- I already installed Solo Axle backs, replaced the mid-muffler with a true x-pipe, installed a K&N elbow intake, and used the Cortex to do a light [93 octane etc.] tune. It is already a completely different car. Next move I believe is headers... right?

Headers sounds like a good plan. I'm putting some on my car this year and starting to save for a cam later this year or next.
