Hello All,

I have always had a fondness for Pontiacs. I bought my first Pontiac in 1983, it was a 69 Firebird, 350, 4 speed. Had that for 10+ years, with 2 engines, two transmissions, and sold it to a friend.

1987 I bought a 1965 Tempest coupe, had that until last year when I sold it to my friend's dad in order to pay off my used 2010 CTS-V, which is the first car I lusted for enough to replace my Pontiac (which, by this time, had 540 hp 455 in it at 3500#'s).

As you might imagine, I was pretty bummed out when GM axed the Pontiac brand, still am. I have a neon clock here in my home office (might sell that) and a lot of other Pontiac stuff that is a constant reminder of what was, IMO, a great niche brand for GM.

Anyway, I always wanted a G8, but the timing wasn't right, and then I found myself lusting for the V.

I see so many of the G8 guys on the V forum, and one of the V guys that I know said this is a good group, so, I figured I would pop in here.

I will have some V parts to sell, as I have leftovers from my own car, plus some extras I've gathered.

Also, Happy New Year.

welcome, my and my pops are putting together a 65 tempest, 4 door though, nothing restored about it though, itll be a big block 4 speed with 4 doors!!! gonna be a fun, loud build made for cruising. most of us G8ers either already have a V in addition, or graduate to one after time, love those cars.

Welcome to the forum. Before you post items for sale, please read the sticky in that forum.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the welcome.

I did read the sticky, so I'll wait to get my post count up.

Do you know if that applies to other parts as well, like a radiator for a 65 Pontiac?

Very cool.

I have over 30 years of experience with Pontiacs, so if I can help, let me know. I have some leftover parts too, so if you want an A/C dash or GTO gauges, stuff like that, I might be able to help.

I used to be very active on the PY site for Pontiacs, but once I got my Trailblazer SS in 2008, then my V in 2013, that fell off quite a bit. I live in a very busy part of L.A., and driving my Pontiac around here was a challenge.

Probably all sales. People that show up to sale don't add to the collection of knowledge and shared learnings so to speak. But most will post a bunch of crap to get the count.
You can look into what the g8 uses from the v
Like brakes and blower parts. That's pretty much what the masses are after.

I settled for the g8 over the v due to lack of money.
I wanted to buy it cash and have money to mod it. So it was either a bine stock v or my g8 with about $12k goodies. :)

Anyway welcome I'm sure you will find lots of info to apply to the v.

We do allow cars to be posted for sale regardless of post count. The rule was simply meant to protect the members.
BTW, I'm from the 909, but that could explain a lot. LOL

Good info.
I didn't know our brakes are an easy swap.

I don't have spare brakes, but I will sell a blower setup pretty soon, though not in a rush.

Yeah definitely worth posting the blower here.
Also the g8board and Facebook g8 Classifieds page.
Any extra eyes on a sale will help.

And guess 6 pot fronts and rotors are a direct sway once the bolt holes are drilled out.

The rears are a little different. Calipers are same as Camaro we just need different rotor setup.

I want a v so bad!!!

Very good.

One advantage I have, I think, is I will sell the blower, snout, lid with the sensors and intercooler, throttle body, injectors, and fuel rail.

I can probably get the pulley brackets and balancer as well, as a friend removed his blower permanently.
