Th400 or 4l80e?

My 6l80 just finally let go and need help deciding what trans to go with. I'm making north of 800+ and just went back to 2.92 gears. My car is more of a roll racing car since here in Houston that's all they seem to do. Just need help any suggestions..thanks

So what happened to some friendly racing? Sucks to hear about the transmission letting go. Let me know if you decide to go back with the 6l80. I have rebuilt a few of them with great success including the one in my car and would help you out in any way that I could. I too had thought about going to a 4l80e or th400 and even a power glide when my transmission first let go but after having great success with my extra clutches in my rebuild and holding 760 rwhp on blower, and now spraying a 400 shot of nitrous on top of it , I have decided to keep the 6l80 in the car and that is the same thing that I suggest for you to do being a roll racer. If you do decide to go with the 4l80e I also have one that I built sitting in the garage that I might let go of.
