This thing is sweet as hell, it had DVD, cd, Bluetooth, comes with GPS module, front and rear cameras, FaceTime camera, gps, wifi Bluetooth and elm 327, everything. It's pretty much an android tablet built in with everything, it comes rooted and can be wifi hotspotted or tethered. It can run apps and mirror my phone and play youtube videos, or anything that's playing on my phone, including the screen.

I saw someone on FB had one as well and was working with the mfg to import them and sell them in the states. He or she was also working at resolving the can bus HVAC fault.

First thing I'd do is pull the knobs off and spray them with Plasti-Dip to cover the chrome. I really wish they had a unit sans chrome.

Yeah, Adam Cooper will be dealing with the manufacturer. He said my unit should be almost correct. So I'm sure I'll have a couple problems still. Hopefully once it's all situated..all I'll need is the new canbus.

I'll get back when I hook it up, but I know it has dual zone..as far as outside temp, any weather app can display that in the top left corner just like a phone would.

Here she is! It's a little long but I cover mostly everything. I still need to tether my phone or hot spot it while out n about. I'll do that and update, also need to figure out the air pin to mirror my phone wirelessly. I had it somewhat working earlier but ran out of time.

Hey guys I'd recommend not ordering one of these straight from china and to wait until Adam Cooper gets everything straightened out and situated. Him being there for just the support of the product is definitely a necessity in this product. I ran into a problem tonight of my hazards being stuck on n he helped me asap with getting it straightened out. Definitely some bugs still and once he perfects it, it will be an amazing product. I still don't have any regrets of buying it, but it does need some more attention before getting it in the hands of everyone. The main problem is warranty and support from the guys from china, it just isn't compared on how Adam can help with it.

the head unit runs android as it's OS - but it should be able to recieved BT and any other info from the apple phone.

IE BT media streaming - in theory should still work with an apple phone - or a blackberry or windowsphone.

wifi sharing should work

BT phone calling and phone book integration will work.

etc.

by extenstion the way android phones work on car infotainment systems designed for apple - or microsoft.

Yeah it'll pair with your phone just fine. The app radio is usually iPhone or Android specific.

They're nice, they feel like an aftermarket with the little notches or detents. No complaints. However the other girl who has this units, up n down for power button has fell off. This is why I was saying to wait for Adam to be supplying these. They said they had kind of a hard time getting her a new one. Since this happened, Adam ended up getting her one n taking care of her. This defeats us arguing with people over from china and playing the not understanding game. Adam is a good dude n well known , he deals with Rick Crawford on the regular.

Yeah its a little expensive, but if you compare it to other options it's the best price. G8 designs is 650 for just mounting and folcik controller. Then u need to account for steering wheel interface and double din head unit. Which is easily over 500. Jhp is 2000 or more.
Only other option that's worth it Imo is the apple TV or Android tv.

Sounds good man! One thing I was hoping didn't happen tho, he won't be offering a warranty or anything. So it's basically the same price getting it from the supplier. Altho it's basically the same price.

Air play was having some issues with the 800x600 screen res. So we had to change it yet again now it will have a HD 1024x800 screen. Also there have been issues with the internal mic while talking on the phone so I have had that switched to an external. We will see how that works. Also the first batch of the new design facia should be done friday. Also the auto and dual buttons will be labeled. I will not be including the 3g dongle with the kits unless you request them. Everyone has been tethering them and it will help offset the price difference of the screen some. I think that is it.

From the first video I saw, it looks like it takes about 30-35 seconds for the radio to be useable after you first turn on the car. If you start up the car and put it in reverse will the back up cam input work immediately or will you have to wait the ~30 seconds before you can see the backup cam image on the screen?

Backup camera once on is instant, both ways. Popping it in reverse and park. As for starting it and putting it in reverse while it's booting up, I haven't tried maybe I will tomorrow and report back.

FYI: Google maps allows you to cache local maps so you could use that also. I don't think the nav function will work without active data, but I could be wrong.

I had this unit before Adam has worked with the supplier. All the new units are correctly labeled and not like mine. They also have a bluetooth mic that is external. I bought mine before all those upgrades were done, but all the new ones are correct. The ac likes to pop on n off with some buttons. That's the only thing you're noticing I assume. I just pop it off. I'll see if that's right or not.

It is definitely itely a good unit with a lot of upgrades compared to stock

I'm not positive, it may work. there's plenty of other gps apps that will work. You just need to find one you'd like.




Also, while booting up, the reverse camera works properly even since it's starting up. So that is cool and makes it nice so you dont need to wait.
