I was finally able to get to the track last night to do some testing with my new FTI 3600 stall converter.

My previous best run when the car was completely bone stock was 13.8XX @ 100 with a 2.0 60'.

Best run of the night last night was 13.072 @ 103.90 with a 1.813 60'! Backed it up with a 13.073 @ 102.36 and a 1.807 60'!!! I had a few other 13.doh runs, and a few 13.1's... also got a best 60' of 1.782

This is with a stock intake, stock exhaust, stock tune! .8 gain in the 1/4 with just the FTI Converter and a pair of 18" drag radials! The weather was about the same as when I ran stock, so these results are not skewed in any way.

I am real impressed, to say the least, with the FTI converter.

nice numbers! wish you had some stock numbers on the slicks to get a real comparison.

Either is worth .3-.5 in the 1/4.

;)

The fact is a converter is the biggest bang for the buck in the G8.

Wouldnt have made much of a difference. A completely stock car really cant take advantage of drag radials. You can't brake stall the car high enough to need them, infact, you would most likely bog, making your times slower.

must resist.....

How much are they?

Btw what was the temp when you went to the track for your bone stock pass?

Nice gains! Wait til you get it tuned now!! You should be able to go more aggressive with the tune since you have the converter. If someone wants to get really crazy with a stall, I'd bet one of these cars could run low 12's with just bolt-ons. Say a 4400, tune, CAI, LT's, exhaust.....It'll happen! :)

Check my sig.

I'm adding a ported TB and intake and have already done Pedders bushings. I sold the RF and am getting a Vararam. I will be getting the Pedders coil-overs and a set of 17" ET Streets (I used a set of 18" ET Street Radials last time).

I'm shooting for 12.3s. Charlie thinks I can do better.

Reg price is $849 plus shipping. We are running a sale until the end of Feb, for $789 shipped.

Temps were within 2-3 degrees of my previous runs at the track.

Nice runs Rich. It was nice to meet you there, and even more fun running next to you. I'm going to come by and take that blue ride for a spin... the converter sounds like fun. - Tom
