Anyone have any experience taking the taillights out?

I'm wanting to tint them and while I got some film to stick on it looks like crap. So i'm (very hesitantly) gonna try the niteshades stuff... (unless I can find a shop that does it professionally around here, but I doubt it).

My plan is to wait until I go on vacation and send them out then. Hopefully by the time I get back they'll be here! :cd:

Take out the solid trunk floor mat.
Pull the trunk seal rubber up and peel it back to midway to the gas struts
Pull up the plastic lip below the trunk lid (check for plastic push in screws, I can't remember if it has some or not)
There are maybe three plastic screws around the front half of the side liners, pull them out and the side liners will be loose.
Pull and bend the side liners back towards the rear of the trunk.
The tail lights will be accessible, unclip the wiring plugs, they have about 4 feet of spare cable.
The tail lights have maybe three nuts holding them in place, unscrew them.
Push the tail lights out. They have a locating pin which will seat them back in the correct place when you reinstall them.

There could be a couple of small errors in these instructions but they should be 90% correct.

I should have paid more attention when my tow bar was fitted.
