On a much smaller scale, I'm finally going to get to work tomorrow. Got all the parts, tools and other stuff I need to install the heater hose relocation kit, remove the intake cover and install the Holden engine covers and Mobile 1 oil cap. I've already thought about it way too much and expect it to take me maybe an hour. I hope. :)

LOL! I should take a pic of my HOUSE right now! Scary! A speed shop tornado if you will. It looks like you have your weekend planned out Dan.

Catching the coolant.

LOL. Cake! I'm doing things a little differently. My garage is too narrow to mess around with ramps so I'm going to siphon the coolant from the top. The "cake pan" drain pan is for catching the residual coolant when I pull the hoses from the water pump. And I will sculpt a funnel using the aluminum pan like George did in the DIY thread. Gonna reuse the coolant.

The next time I drain the system, I'm going to try Rob Moser's technique of using a Rubbermaid pitcher to catch the coolant.

The foil pan does work too.

Wow I could I forget?! Kudos to Crazy Paul for providing the Holden engine covers and BlueJacket for providing the engine bay dress up color scheme. I was immediately impressed with his use of the graphic overlays by GrafxWerks and Reflective Concepts for the Holden engine covers and Mobile 1 cap. The decal I chose for the cap is different though (and not shown): a red Pontiac logo with a black background and reflecto-dome.

Yeah it is, I'd taken it out of the car and it ended up in the pile. :)
