I plastidiped or more correctly "flexidipped" (as home depot only had the off brand the past 3 times I've checked) the silvery faux aluminum pieces of the interior minus the parts on the steering wheel as I couldn't figure out how to get it off by looking at it and I didn't feel like looking it up. I feel like it's a little more classy now and I like it. Please excuse the poor picture quality my phone camera lens is cracked and for some reason everything is purple

I was honestly just putting my sunglasses back in the car and thought I wonder how hard this is to take off, and it just popped right out haha. The steering wheel takes quite a bit more it turns out you have to take the wheel off completely then remove 4 screws to get it off so I'll probably just leave it.

Steering wheel isn't bad at all. I did this same thing, then decided I liked it, so I started ordering black trim from Paul.

I used black flexidip which is rustoleums response to plasti dip it looks smoother when it dries but it is lighter than plasti dip and can look Gray at times. I'm not sure if you can tell but the arrowhead surround has flexidip and the grill has plastidip. Normally the lightness irretates me but it works perfectly with the inside.

I would do the steering wheel and it doesn't sound to difficult to do but I really need to finish packing for college because I leave in 2 days I probably spent to much time just doing the easy pieces. And if you don't mind me asking do you have any pictures of the steering wheel with the black trim so I can see if I want to do it during one of my breaks.

Yeah, I'll dig some up. I ended up peeling them and covering with vinyl, due to the dip slowly getting scratched up.

Only pic I have at the moment, brushed aluminum vinyl, but you get the idea:

Fwiw, PD was way easier, and now that I think about it, the dip didn't scratch, I attempted to paint them, which scratched.

Here's some more of the factory black bits that Crazy Paul can get you, if Plasti-Dip isn't your thing:

23157

Don't mind the transmission mount - not sure why it made it in there.

Next revision of black bits - steering wheel trim and switches, window and traction control switches, plus curved triple pod parts:

Onyx black factory Holden parts.
(Interior door handles, shifter shaft, the gate around the shifter shaft can also be done).

Did you paint those pieces red or is that how they come?

The dash appliques and door handle surrounds are not painted, they're factory pieces - got them from Crazy Paul.
The door handles are a mash-up of the full Onyx handle set and the Red Hot set. I switched the Onyx handle parts into the Red Hot surrounds before install.

The only painted red part in that picture is the center speaker cover, as that wasn't available from Holden or HSV in Red Hot.

HSV had a Red Hot option package with the door panel leather, door handle surround, and a few other bits from the factory.
Getting any of them at this point is difficult, most everything has been on a backorder, the door panel order got canceled after a 5 month wait.

You'd be mad doing that.
The satin silver original coating peels and cuts peoples fingers.

Just replace all 4 interior door handles complete, with the Onyx black version which has no coating to ever peel.
Full set of 4 new Onyx handles shipped is cheaper than just 2 original satin silver handles from GM.

I bought the Onyx black handles from you Paul and installed them on the driver's side to see which i like better. I will say that the stock silver feels better in hand but as you said, will peel and start slicing skin. I'm thinking about plastidipping the Onyx handles just to see how it feels. The Onyx definitely looks better too.
