Those of you that have the New Era OTR intake please chime in. All it takes is one response to a simple question. I have only seen pictures of this unit without the factory engine cover. Does the engine cover not fit with this intake?

I'd like to keep a factory look in the engine compartment, which means I'm strongly considering the Roto-Fab rather than the New Era OTR. The Roto Fab looks the best, IMO, but I know the OTR will likely produce higher HP.

FYI: New Era also makes a side mount CAI which works GRRRR8 :)

Yes, the Intake Cover fits....I just put mine on to check. Running short on time or I'd post a pic for you. I don't normally run with mine on. It didn't work with the old New Era CAI though...I just never thought to try with the new one :)

Really, mine fits just fine with the side mount

Mine was fabbed at the shop and the cover wasn't factored in.

Mine fits great. VMS tune and New Era OTR. The car sounds great...

The only difference with the OTR Intake from stock fitment is the new hose running to the passenger side valve cover. I'll post a pic up showing you mine post install with cover on @ lunch.

Jay,
That should look sweet with the intake painted to match the cover!

That's what I'm thinking. Figured I have to buy a quart of the paint anyways so I'll trick out a few other things as well! ;)
Off to the body shop!

Added my side white marker lights to the "to be done collection". The white just looks way out of place on the IOM.

I need to see it once it's done.

No problem Jeff! Will be a week on the pieces parts, and a week or so up at Livernois for the heads. Then I'll bring it to you and take you for a spin! :)
