Best way to clean wax off the black plastic parts and trim? Is there a decent product that can turn my black trim back to black? Mainly washed out white from wax overage on the black. Any help thanks!

Will these take the white stuff off or just cover in black? I guess either way is fine, looks like shit now....

Peanut butter. Not the crunchy kind.

When I'm detailing at work and run into cars with the wax residue on the black plastic parts, I use our all purpose cleaner/degreaser.

Take a towel (I use a microfiber towel because we have soo many at work) and add some of the all purpose cleaner to it and start rubbing on the spots of concern. After rubbing the spot let the area dry to see if it reappears. From the times that I've done it the residue won't go away in the first try, so keep repeating the process. Eventually the wax will go away. The longer the wax has been on, the harder it will be to remove.

Good luck

I use Turtle Wax Ice detailer spray. After I hand wax my car I use this on all the black plastic. It takes off any residue left by hand waxing and it makes it shiny.

All purpose removes, and in & out or super vrt make it black, but are not black colored, just restores the black

You can try a regular eraser - like a pencil eraser. It worked for me and cheap and easy to try as most have an eraser on the house somewhere.

Never heard of that one before. I'll have to try it next time I see a spot.
