I'll give you a hint.... it's not 3rd.

It's 4th on most cars these days but it's supposed to be the gear that is closest to a 1:1 ratio. The automatic in the G8's has a 4th gear ratio of 1:1.15 and the 4th gear in the manual (GXP only) is 1:1 ratio.

Stock? What kind of dyno was it? Those are awfully good numbers given that most dyno-jet baselines were in the 285-295 range.

We coppied my stock file today and compared it to another 09 G8 and two 08 G8's and the file is the same. I guess, just hope it responds well to mods like everyone else.

By street tune I mean no dyno time!!!!

Sounds within the average for a tune only G8. You can put a car on a dyno and have it print out 390 hp...the track time doesn't lie.

The mustang will be about 12% less then a dynojet. So, his 320 on a dyno jet comes out to be 281. Thats close to the numbers manosteel was talkng about. Most on the mustang thats posted on this forum have been between the 285 and 300hp.

My time slips are on my my-spase page except my second run, they gave me the yellow copy and the camera wont take a good picture of it. So now that I have my base dyno and track times I will dyno tune the car and head back to the track. If I pick up 20 or so in the tune and have good weather again like today should be an impressive run for tune only.

My dyno was done on a dynojet dyno with everything SAE. Photos from the track today are on my my-space page.

You are completely stock?? Did you remove your air filter or anything for these runs?

Impressive numbers. Nice job.

Great runs! A friend of mine was out there Sunday and saw you run. He said he watched one of your 13.40 runs. He also said there was a head wind, so you might would have dipped into the thirties. You have a strong car indeed!

The only thing that was touched was the engine cover removed, but doubt that changed anything due to how cool it was that day.

The wind was working against all of us but I was happy with what numbers I got. I tryed to hot lap the car but they wouldnt let me run back to back passes.

How are you leaving at the track? Sport, manual, regular? What were track conditions? I did sport track control off and went for it very little wheel spin, track was preped well.

Finaly got the videos uploaded. My wife didnt want me to post the videos due to the quality of them. I dont think that they are to bad for the wind and our 8 month old girl that she was holding at the sametime. The link will show the three dyno pulls and passes at state capital raceway.

Well got to the track on 9/24/2010 and made a few passes in the car.
The best pass was:
60'...1.803
1/8...7.845
MPH...89.77
1/4...12.129
MPH...112.54
This was on stock tires with 37psi, traction control off. We still have some trans tuning to do and try again on Oct 8th with some tire on the car. :secret:
