I'll shoot some vids this weekend of the car in action. The car is totally different now. Zippy did an incredible job on the shifting alone and I appreciate the amount of time and effort he put into my car. It sounds mean but not too crazy at idle.:woohoo:

DANG!!!! God I can't wait for this CAM! What differences are there between yours and Pauls cam or existing mods on the car?

Little lower than similar mods on the Livernois dyno, or am i way off?

Could be in the tune. Dan has had the advantage of tuning a few cammed G8s.

While that may be part of it there are alot of other variables too. We don't know what the car baselined before hand (it got started on before they baselined it by accident) so we don't know the "increase" in power over stock. Other things that could vary are the valve job, the lifter preload amount, the weather conditions, the altitude, and the fuel that was used. All of these will play some part in overall power numbers. I would say the increase over stock is the bigger piece of the puzzle, but unfortunately we will never really know. Short of him driving up here to our dyno to see the difference it will be hard to say.

That would be a major road trip

Are you saying it's not worth it? :D

I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth it...............my wife would be like " WTF is wrong with you ".............." Are you ever going to be done spending money on that damn car"

My reply is a quiet shoulder shrug but I'm thinking " not until there is a Maganacharger under the hood "

2 things I know are different is that my 20" HSV's aren't helping and the 91 octane fuel out here

Like Andy said there are a lot of variables that come into play here. Still good numbers though, but i bet you could still squeeze out some more power....

Was comparing him to your #s 594. Not saying his are bad, just not as high as yours.

It's A G8!

Hey Andy what is the down time on a vehicle when you do this cam package?

Man, I would say that there is a big difference between Paul's 441RWHP & 410 RWTQ and Vegas Nate's 400rwhp & 380rwtq. I would be interested to see (and I'm sure Vegas Nate would be to), what Vegas Nate's car would dyno on 93 octane & on Livernois's dyno.

It's all good though. Maybe the 20's, 91 octane, and altitude/DA difference is the difference in the numbers?

Yeah, we may never know. It is still a fun car to drive though. I'm hoping someone else in the southwest does this so we can compare apples to apples.

I think it was E.A. that said it on the "G8 Board" enjoy the cam & new power! Hey, you gotta cam & I don't...... yet.

Also, you're in Vegas & we've got crappy snow on the ground here in Michigan! I love Vegas! :)

Party on the strip! And the strip bars in Vegas have the best looking stripers!

Take a nice drive to the wonderful state of Michigan and we can know. Ha, im just playing. This state is far from wonderful. Really its not a number game.. if you enjoy the car then it was money well spent. Was this the first G8 that your shop tuned?

The number on the dyno doesn't really matter.

The number on the board at the strip is what matters.

Yes it was the first G8, but they have alot of experience with Vettes, GTOs, etc.......

It's good to see that you're happy with how it came out. The car has great power and should go well at the track.
