I'll be off to the East Coast of Australia to see family.

If your driving across AU. What are speed limits on major cross-country highways there in the sparsely populated areas? edit- I guess it is about 2,000 miles distance of your trip and I imagine that you are traveling by plane.

2750 miles (48 Hrs non-stop driving) each way, or about 4Hrs by Qantas.
I'm taking the big silver bird.
Legal in some places is 110km/h = 68mph on open road.
