It's the, 19301360 - CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE LS3 525HP CRATE ENGINE

I have been all over the board on what I want to do with my G8GT but I think I've arrived at a decision, maybe.:clap::clap:

I guess what it's come down to is the ability to return the car to stock down the road if it has any bearing on what the vehicle is worth. Any insight or experience with this engine would be appreciated.

I would look at the torque curves personally. It really depends on what you're going to do. For a street driven DD, you may want the 480.

Is there anything wrong with your current engine? If not, you can tweak your current engine to run like the one you posted. If your L76 is broken or worn out, then the crate motor would be a good upgrade.

Might be a bit too much cam for a stock converter...

On edit: That 55 Chevy was sweeeet.

The top chart is purported to be the LS3 525, the bottom an LSA.

I'm well onto stall area and would probably do a 3200, oil cooler with a Camaro pan.

Nothing wrong with my current engine just thinking about moth balling for future value.

Thanks for the replies, I would appreciate any and all information from anyone who has the 525.

you are going to pay $7600 for basically a stock LS3 with a slightly bigger cam? Spend the same amount dropping a forged rotating assembly with a 4" stroke and some decent heads and bigger cam and you will have a 408cid pushing 500whp instead of crank.
