Hey guys, just wanted to ping you and see what you think I could get for my car. 2008 G8 GT, PBM with 68k miles.

Car needs new tires and brakes, I'll be getting tires on it here soon (stock 18"), and will be doing the pads/rotors myself as well soon. I think it also has the dreaded rear-main leak, I'll be taking a look at that and getting it sorted this year as well.

Otherwise, I have all stock parts that will go back on the car before sale. And will be selling the mods of separately. The winter rims+tires I'll be trying to sell on locally (what I want next these wheels will not fit over the brakes :)). Summers I've been trying to sell here for the past couple seasons.

Only blemishes are the usual swirl marks in the clear coat, a fist sized dent in rear drivers door that I haven't had popped out yet, and a few scrapes in the rear bumper cover. A couple stock wheels have a few marks on them, not curb rash, but I believe it to be due to the channels in those automatic car washes, they're only an inch or so long. Otherwise the car is still tight, no creaks or rattles to be heard. Interior still in great shape, seats are still in one piece, and not much stretching on the "leather" seating surfaces. I will be leaving the shift boot and center console cover on as they're too much a pain to take off.

I was thinking $15k, but not sure if that's soft.

I think I'd start at 16 and give yourself some room to move. The scratches and dents are going to hurt you. Swirl marks are unfortunately common place so people don't usually care.

Maybe even $16,500... Take care of the cosmetic stuff.....

Dent should be simple, not sure I'll have the want to take care of the other various paint issues.

Good thing is that the car has an entire new front end! Hit a dear November 2012 and the body shop did a good job on the repairs.

Thanks for the insight guys.

I gotta start checking craigslist too then. Been checking Autotrader and Cars.com religiously. I see some nice and cheap in Miami, unfortunately they've been salvaged titled due to being GM performance demo vehicles (GM places warranty block on the vehicles by salvaging the title). If it weren't going to be my DD I'd jump on one of them in a heart beat as they're 2013 models with 5000 or less miles.

As it is the cheapest one I've seen is a Black Raven 6A Ebony interior model on Long Island for $45k. Started at $48k a few months ago so it's been going down steadily. Problem is I need to pick up the car for $40k or less really.

I would LOVE to get my wife a v wagon but the RWD is a killer for her and honestly, I don't want to swap out wheels and tires. Talk about a GREAT family truckster though.

Yeah, have a 5 month old son and putting stuff in a wagon would be so much easier, especially since it's a powered lift gate. Also more power doesn't hurt either. :)

Looks like the one in mass is gone. That was fast. Tried to bring up the link I saved and it stated deleted.
If I lived in Florida I would also be all over that ..too bad GM did that.

There is a black one in my town that I drool all over every time I see owner (MILF) driving her kids to school in the morning.
Im in the same dilemma with cost right now. I was just about to drop the hammer on a Heron White SS but I did not have the funds handy due to me having the G8 still. I was going to try and keep the G8 but now I need to serious think about it.
