5 years today!

Just realized I've owned my G8 exactly 5 years today/tonight.

I still remember clearly leaving work early on a Monday afternoon to drive 5 hours to get to MN before the dealership closed. Finished the sale picking the color on the way there, actually the other one sold so White Hot it was! After 12 hours I was back home with my new car.

It has been quite a unique experience, highest of highs and some pretty deep lows with all the warranty work I've had, and had to fight for. I mentioned the other day after getting my lifters replaced and some new strut bushings... I think this is almost the happiest I've been with the "mechanicals". My GF laughed and said "I don't even know the man in my kitchen...!"

No plans to sell, I will have this car for another 5!

I hear ya! Longest I've kept a vehicle in about 22 years.. longest before the G8 was a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport which made it 4 years before it had to take one for the team so i could trade it in for the next.

I've had my 2001 Grand Prix GTP for 7 years this month. It's the longest car I've ever owned.
