Went to the track tonight very please with the times i got, temp outside was around low 50's. first run was 13.32, second run was 13.28. Only thing done to the car is a nep cai and superchip tune for 91 octane had the tq management set at 75%. when the car was stock best time was 13.8 i think temp outside was about the same then (cold as hell). Here are my time slips on both runs. The first run i ran a mercedes e55 amg i did pretty good against looked pretty new. the other one was a mustang.

Great runs for the mods. As said, get that 60' down and you'll be realllly close to low 13's and maybe squeak a high 12 out of it.

thanks i'm finally on list :woohoo:, after the race with the mercedes amg the guy came over to check out my car. he was curious to see what was done since i hung well with him close to the 1/8 mile (maybe half a car length ahead of me) after that he started pulling hard. whats a good way to launch to get the 60's times down? hopefully i can get out to the track one more time before the warm weather comes.

Take off all TM, run 1/4 tank or less of 93 super, keep motor as cool as you can, tires at 32,
small burn out, sportmode, shallow stage, stall up to 1300 or so, and slam the gas.

13.05 ish!

My car left the best with the traction control off and leaving at 1000-1100 rpm's. My best 60' was 2.08, I've got the cortex now and if my seat of the paints is any indication it should run as fast as yours, somewhere in the 13.20's. Mine ran 13.57 at 102 hitting the rev limiter about 150' from the traps. Good runs for only mild tune and cai. Did you run yours in the sport mode or drive? Mine ran best in the sport mode. Yours should pick up with the 93 octane tune. You definetly need to improve the 60' and if you can get it down to low 2's your going to bust into the teens. good luck

I had it sportmode with traction control off. I know if i can get a good 60's time i should easly get a LOW 13 might even get a HIGH 12. that 93 octane tune will be a big plus hopefully superchip will get things going soon with that.

Hey are you holding 3rd gear to the end of the 1/4? That will result in the best times for your mods.

In sport mode when you are at about 80mph, request a down shift so the car goes into manual mode and stays in 3rd gear. It should stay in 3rd (in manual mode) until about 108mph when you then hit the rev limiter.

If you were to leave it in sport mode, it usually shifts (from 3rd to 4th gear)at about 104-105 mph costing you time for shifting.

....good idea on the 3rd gear...... mine is tuned now, so I forgot about that.
It definately helped pre-tune, when back road testing.

i should have did that trick with holding it in 3rd gear because right when i passed the 1/4 mile mark it shift into 4th gear. me and two of my friends (owners of cadillac cts-v) will be going out this wednesday to orlando speedway i'll try some of these tricks and see if they work for me. thanks for the advice fellas.

I've never been able to launch my car at anything but idle, because of the traction issues. I'm hoping that the drag radials will help. Even so, then I've got a whole 'nother launch to practice and perfect.
