Does anyone know if there is a head out there that will work for us which has a larger combustion chamber? I'm looking for something preferably in the high 70 cc range.

72 is as big as I've seen.

Might want to start getting used to the idea of dished pistons.

There was an article somewhere about Trick Flow having heads for big and bigger cube LS engines, but I didnt see what the cc was. Might be an option.

Do they have something other than the cathedral style heads? I was not aware of aftermarket use of the GEN IV rectangular design. I don't need to get it too low of compression, just enough for a FI

Maybe give them a call, they don't list the chamber cc on the website.

What is the CC on our heads from the factory?

I dont think they do after looking. But they did make 725hp on pump gas with the heads on a 440 cid LSX!

GM replacement heads are listed as 70cc.

The Mast link above is for L92 style heads that use an LS3 intake.

I just called them, their heads retain the factory 70cc chambers. Plus they are a few weeks out on getting their heads, but the guys we're knowledgeable and helpful.

IIRC the factory chamber is 70.3-70.5 they can be opened to about 73cc but thats about it, but you could always use a thicker head gasket too...

Dude your G8 might be the first to pull the front wheels if you boost that engine.

It WILL get a power adder one way or another. If the charger takes too long, nitrous will find its way on there. Won't be the first one I've sprayed, and it damn well won't be the last one hahaha. I may be happy temporarily if I can get the record for hp or tq in one. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't House of Boost have the HP/Tq record currently?
