So, anyone know if I'll have an issue using the one on the left? Stock is the right one. I bought them from Greg and they were take-offs but unused. The OE ones are painted burgundy and that doesn't work for me.

Show us the top front side of the one on the left.
The one from Greg looks to have more advanced and more compact baffling....to stop oil droplets and oily gas reversing out of the valve cover towards fresh air intake tube. Maybe there was some engine that needed more clearance for rockers or hardware and they compacted the baffling system, then started using the newer design on everything.
Grab the casting number, or Part number if you are lucky, off each cover and insert into google.

Here's a bunch Paul. I just want to make sure it's safe to use. I would assume so, but better safe than sorry!

Chris,
The new ones are from an LS3 so they will have the updated PCV on them.
I did forget that the one tube is different.

Mine is an LS3 too! GXP! Thanks Greg! I'll use them!

Yes I forgot Chris :)
I wonder if the original owner swapped the covers like you are doing when he got them coated.

I'm not sure, I guess I could ask Tony.

He did a good job finding a set with the correct mounting points for the coil brackets and clearance for offset rockers.
Sooo many covers to choose from these days.

Seeing that Tony literally bought new parts anytime he modded a part, and I don't have any rocker covers laying around, I'd bet these are the stock ones.
