View Full Version : Do NOT buy xHose Pro!!
You have seen the commercials. The garden hose is lightweight and expands and contract. It is really sweet, except for the fact that they blow up. Mine blew after 4 or 5 uses. Others report burst hoses after 2 uses. The commercials say buy one and get another free. Well, not quite. They charge $9 to $12 shipping and handling and for the "free" one you pay another $9 to $12 even though both hoses are shipped in the same box.
They even include a "free" lifetime replacement warranty. They give no contact information about how to do it or reach customer service. Some people have finally found a CS number and posted it on-line. to get your "free replacement you must pay to ship the defective hose back to them and pay, you guessed it, another $9 to $12 shipping and handling fee to get the "free" replacement.
Some people did this and had the "free" replacement blow in 2 or 3 uses.
You have been warned. Avoid these or the green ones sold in some stores. all these collapsible hoses are junk and a total waste of money.

HAHAHA... I subscribed to Consumer Reports YouTube channel and they reviewed these several months ago. Their conclusion was they weren't worth buying. The #1 complaint is that when you use it without a restrictive nozzle, the hose wants to accordion back up. It needs the pressure to expand.

Damn, that really sucks! I've been buying into the 3am infomercials and was going to get one. Really wish they worked as advertised. If it were like my Shark vacuum I would be completely satisfied!

Sounds like it's sold by the same people that started selling Enzyte Boner Pills. A money back guaranty but no return address or must get a Dr note saying boner pills don't work on you, etc. :) All the BOGO tv ads have outrageous shipping charges added to get the 'free' item.

Where do you think these dodgy pricks offload their junk and their crappy ads once the US Market wakes up to them?
Yeah, we even get all the dodgy drugs that the FDA rejects.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for infomercials. Being drunk at 3am really makes you believe a lot of them! The vacuum was a good buy though.

Don't buy the green non-stick skillet either. Don't ask me how I know.

Love my shark vac too, but found it at Costco where they will take anything back!
So what I'm taking away from this thread is that the xHose Pro blows, not in the good way and the Shark vacuum sucks' but in the good way. Is that about right ?!?!

I don't know. I have had one (Home Depot buy) for a couple years now. It's on the seldom-used side-front hose of my house. I like that it gets small enough to not require anything fancy like a hose reel or anything. Been using it roughly once per month for those years. No problems.

...and Boner pills don't work (complete Bullshit! They work GREAT!!!)
as a side note, I use these green garbage hoses, because I have a well, and my water pressure is shit. I'd say they work well to 35 psig. Over that - burst. Under that - shrinkage (thus the need for boner pills).

..so yesterday I'm cleaning my shower in the basement using my green flexible / expandable hose. Think of this posting, thinking i should check the other room where the hose was hooked up to the laundry tub. I didn't. And guess what!
Water all over the place, the hose sprung a leak and was spraying a fine mist of water everywhere. (I did use hot water in it and I think there was a note not too, maybe that is why? .. lol Junk) I used it twice.
Worse 20 bucks I've spent.. no sometimes you can't build a better xxxx ...
